Administrative Professionals Day was last week. Or so I was told. Anyway, I was informed on Friday that the principals are sending us out to lunch on Monday (tomorrow). Sounds nice, huh? Well I have to go with the 3 witches in the office. I have tried twice to get out of it but I was told I had to go. I do truly appreciate their kindness but 2 hours with those people is not a nice time for me.

Selena - did Mac get sent home from work? Is she feeling any better? What a bummer to be sick on her birthday weekend. Yuck, that sounds like it might be the longest lunch ever. There is nothing worse than trying to make small talk with people like them through lunch. I am guessing they may ignore you and just talk among themselves.

Marcie - I am glad you got the strength to take Aerial out. I agree with Selena, I think if you focus more on planning for Disney and the prom that it will help keep your mind busy. Hugs to you.

Selena, doesn't sound like much fun for you. Laboratory week was last week also. Brad actually reminded me and I told everyone at work. We ended up ordering Spicy Pickle in to work on Tuesday. It was yummy!

Thank you all. I don't even know where to start to focus on my trip and prom. I feel so confused inside, like I can't clear my head to think. At least I made it to work today and going to try to get some work done. Maybe I will look at some disney stuff online to cheer me up. Next weekend Jeri and I may bring the girls to Houston to get a prom dress there. That will be fun.

Woke up to snow today. I WANT the 70's temps back!

What's up with the snow? I thought it was supposed to rain today.

I mowed the lawn yesterday morning and today it is covered with snow.

Have you been to Red & Jerry's lately? I was there yesterday and all of the video games and skee-ball and the prize counter are all gone! That entire area is empty now.

Cristi, they talked about snow showers last night but definitely not accumulation. Crazy. It is almost May and we are having winter full force. I even bought a new summer outfit for the flight to Costa Rica. I was thinking it would be nice. Still have some time to turn around.

Everything else still seems to be the same, but that area is empty, dark and cavernous now. Club Octane is apparently still up and running because we had our guitar-becue there and the waitress said they'd had a prom in there the night before. I wonder if any of those prom kids found their ways into the darkened corners of the former amusement area on their way to or from the restrooms...

OMG, you are so right. Hmm, and parents get worked up about prom being in hotels. Who needs a hotel, when you have a free dark corner.

I used to tell Tammy that if I ever ran away from home, that is the first place she should look for me. Now, with all of the amusements gone, maybe not. Everything else over there is still up and running - the dog and horse betting, the bars, the restaurants, the pool tables and the nightclub; its just the video games and pinball and skee-ball area that has been cleared out. Wouldn't surprise me if they start hosting Ultimate Fighting or something in there.

Sandy that picture is just gross!!! Nasty!!!

Lunch wound up being today instead of yesterday. It actually went half way good. They played nice and it was nice to just be allowed off campus for an hour and a half. lol I had grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfections. YUMMY!! Howver, I did not talk about anything important and I felt like I was being tested. Then we came back and within an hour I was fussed at for being too loud in my office. lol My boss came in and told me you are too loud be quiet!!! I was blown away since I have my door shut and her office is up the hall and in another office. Basically her office is a room in another office. Kind of like an office within an office. So tell me how the world did she hear us talking? I have no clue how she heard me when she is that far away. We (me and one of my teacher friends) had my student page go outside and we continued to talk at the same level and she was outside of my office and could not hear me. Very strange. Crystal thinks she was just being a witch because she does not like when Crystal comes to talk to me during her planning period.

Selena, I just wish I had an answer for you. No one should have to put up with what you have been for so long. I sometimes think you should go over their heads to talk to someone but that could make it worse. Didn't we at one point talk about you having an HR dept? Can't remember where that lead. Then to make you go to lunch with people like that.. Sheez. The foot seems to be worse today but I just got off the phone with my Primary doctor (not the Urgent Care doc) and he said give it a couple more days. He thinks that with CR off by 10 or 11 days that I should still be able to go.
