Aerial started crying talking to her Dad on the phone after I told her about his accident. She told me that she is pretty stressed now too. We've had a lot going on this week. But, I did let her drive from the school to the church last night and she was all excited. It's good stuff and bad stuff we are going through so hopefully the good will keep us afloat.

Heidi, why did DCL change the route?

Hopefully the WDW trip will really help the both of you out a lot. You both need a well deserved vacation. Give her a hug for me. They haven't officially changed it yet for my cruise, but it is due to the Swine Flu.

I just saw the news.....one guy is a baggage handler at our airport and the other is a lady that travelled to Mexico via a cruise ship. Heidi with that being said, I hope you don't go!! I remember the criuse that we took where everyone was getting sick with a flu, can't remember the name. The next cruise was cancelled. It just spreads so quickly on cruises.

The chances of me getting sick in Cozumel is probably the same chance of getting sick in any other island or even the Orlando Airport.

Stupid question, do you guys know if there is a charge for the airline's wheel chairs? I was just thinking that there is so much walking at DIA (our airport) and maybe I could use it until we get to the gate.

I don't think there is a charge. A few years ago my grandmother came out here and I flew back with her. We got a wheelchair for her so she didn't have to walk so far. My dad may have called the airline ahead of time though so you might want to do that.

That's exactly what I thought. I can walk a lot better now but I think I need to keep it to a bare minimum. I still wear my post op shoe. I figure I have to get up and walk maybe once an hour on the plane. I swell so badly at night that it hurts. I think that in a cramped space like an airplane that I could do the same.

I just heard from my travel guide. He said that he can loan me crutches or his cane. Wow, I am all set. Don't know if I told you guys but one of the things I wanted to see really bad was a waterfall. It is very steep, rocky and slippery when raining. His friend wrote a note and said that there is a way to get me to the waterfall that I wanted to see. His 80 year old mother with a bad knee got down so that is a good sign. I am feeling better! Now, how to climb 72 stairs to the lobby No, they have a golf cart thingy that transports people. While I wasn't looking to use it, I may just have to. I looked at taking the steps as an exercise program for the drinks (and food LOL). I guess I can worry about weight gain later. Since being layed (laid)up I have gained 3 pounds. What do you expect sitting around on your fat rear end anyway???? LOL

It is a foggy, drizzly day at the campground. Grandma (meaning ME) is having a rough time knowing that it is the last time I see Tyer before he goes in the hospital. It is hard feeding him his meals knowing it is the last time for two years that he can eat normal and eat the foods he loves. Did I tell you guys that he just started raiding the pantry and refrigerator? How sad! Stacey has been getting rid of all the yummy food so that it will be out of the house when he gets home from the hospital. Man, I hate this. I could break out in a big huge crying session. Maybe it is good that we won't be here at the beginning. Sorry to Heidi as she has to fill my shoes.

So it is really looking like we will be going to Nassau now instead of Cozumel. I hope my trip insurance will cover the excursion I booked that is non DCL. I am bummed, I wanted to get Vanilla and the dessert tequila's! Problem is Disney won't say for sure, so we can't even begin planning excursions for the new port.

I am sorry Heidi but truly you would be safer to not go. I hope your insurance does pay you back. I did not know about a tequila dessert. Please tell me about this.

On our cruise in October the only stop is Cozumel. I wonder if the swine flu will still be as bad then. It will be interesting to see where we would go if not somewhere in Mexico. The cruise leaves out of Tampa.

My friends were going on another Mexican Riviera Cruise and they cancelled all stops and the cruise was going to go up and down California and Washington. One friend, who is a TA, cancelled and left out of Florida instead. The others are having to go. You guys know I realize anything can happen and we have had several stops canceled starting with our very first cruise but...well having every port cancelled and only going up and down the coast of CA and WA would be a bit of a let down.
