Karen - make sure you take a motion sickness pill. I get car sick very easily but when I take meclazine on the cruise every day, sea sickness has never set in for me. We take it every day whether we need it or not. I am not sure if there is an additional form that you need to fill out for Costa Maya, remember to bring bug spray and anti-itch cream just in case.

I switched between the Olympics and American Idol last night. I felt so sorry for the guy that got stuck in the elevator...at least he made it on.

I felt sorry for the same guy Heidi. I was sure hoping that he made it on because of the elevator incident, also.

For all of you that don't know, I sent Selena a card stating that being I could not give her hugs in person for what Erik and the family was going through that I was sending hugs instead. Inside the package was a bag of Hershey's hugs.

You know what Selena? I think of it every so often about how happy I am that I started the thread. And.......to think that I started another one and titled it differently and no one responded so I made up a new one and you were all there for me. I have figured out that you have to be creative to get a response.

Oh my goodness, you should see the blowing snow. Yuck! I have to get out in it and drive. I hate to drive in the snow. It scares me to death. I even have a 4 wheel drive but it is the stopping that scares me. Not the get up and go stuff! Well, be thinking of me!

Aerial is sick today. I went ahead and came into work. I only work about 2 minutes from my house so I can be home quick and I will go home at lunch and check on her. 2 more months and tax season is over.

Okay I hate to cut this short but I gotta get busy.

That statement made me laugh. My husband hates it when I walk on snow or ice. I take little baby steps and he yells at me....just walk!

Hey, I need some advice. As you know our friend passed away and left us her house. We are going through her stuff every weekend. We found some China from Japan and really didn't think much about it. I just did some research on it and it is selling online for a dinner plate for 14.95 a piece. We have an 8 piece setting. How or where do you think we could sell it? I just don't think we could get much for it at the estate (garage sale) and I don't want to just "give" it away either. I don't like the pattern so I don't want to keep it. It is a green ivy pattern. If you want to check it out it is Aladdin fine china, May Fair pattern. It is so hard to know the worth of anything. We found a glass pitcher that I thought was just a simple glass pitcher and Ted just ran across some paperwork on it and it was worth 359.00 when she bought it in 1991. I have never done e bay and not sure that I would want to ship stuff like that anyway. Help!!! Any suggestions?

I am here Selena, just not had a chance to look on the computer lately, at least not this one. I just glanced at the thread here, need to do some other stuff on the computer for school, and need to make sure it is not virus infested, as is much of what I do at the school. I've been fighting IMACs at school to try and make some flyers for a Cultural festival I'm supposed to be arranging. Also a bunch of other school stuff. I'm the Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None there and had a bunch of odd stuff to do. Vendors fair for assemblies and fund-raisers, Title I night, dumpster diving for boxes for Destination Imagination, Muffins for Moms, etc....

Sandy, years ago I got a woman to appraise some stuff for me. They are not cheap, but worth the investment. You might try Tiffany's or Hyde Park to see if they have someone to suggest. I would get the stuff looked at by a pro, then you will never regret. Pros can also give good references for proper markets.

All you Denverites, my fault it snowed, it always does when I need to drive south to Cheery Creek Schools resources center. Hate the snow.

Hi Carla, welcome!!!! Glad you had to go to to Cherry Creek, I love the snow!!!! I was crazy and drove from 72nd and Pecos to my mom's house in Littleton (about 30 miles) in the blizzard we had a few years ago. My dad was stuck up on the mountain with my grandpa and my mom would have been alone, so I drove home!!!! We are talking about feet of snow in my little Nissan Sentra on C-470 and I-70, but I didn't get stuck and I made it!!! I am not afraid of snow!!!

Guys. I am either getting sick or run down. I JUST dragged myself out of bed to make me some coffee.... headache My nose is half stuffy... Ilook like, well... and my stomach is a TED bit queezy. My sister will be here in one week and the last thing I need is to be sick!!!! I will tell you another thing....(if I have not already...) I am getting nervous to sail and EXTREMELY emotional.... crying at everything even when I am alone... That isn't REALLY me.... I mean I will cry easy at something happy or at something sad.... but cry for almost no reason...
I am thinking maybe I am just tired, or the nerves about being on the ship with all my family (damned Posiedan adventure.... I could NEVER hold it together to comfort my kids in a crisis like that!!! ) or if it is just the fact that the last cruise was with my mom and sister and that was only because it was my moms dying wish. OK... I feel better, see... I'm easy...
I hemmed DH pants at work last night since I worked til 1 and also I brought inwrapping paper and wrapped all the personalized pillowcases that, guess what??? You will never believe it... welll, maybe you would!!!! I put the wrong date on them!!! No, this is no joke....I put 2/24/06 instead of 2/25/06. So... I have on them the day they get the pillowcase, not the day we go on the ship. Well, I will tell them I planned it that way. OK I need to figure out if I am going back to bed or if I am actually going to try to get something done... even laundry!!!

There are also places that are sanctioned by eBay where you can take your stuff and they will set up the auction and ship it out...for a percentage, of course. I'd be surprised if there weren't a bunch of them around the Denver metro area.

Heidi, yes, it IS the same set of dishes that Bonnie just laughed at and thought it was just plain old dinnerware. I read the back again and checked it out online.

Karen, I bet a million bucks that you are just tired. I am exactly like that when I am tired. You are going to have to slow down and go to bed early!! Once you get on the ship everything will be perfect. Hang in there kiddo!

Karen, you may be emotional because of your Mom. I get that way sometimes in hospitals without even realizing. Seeing my Dad in there so much, I guess I have it in my subconscious. You know what I mean? Take it easy today. Get some rest, you will be ready for your cruise. When you are cruisng just know that your monkey's are all with you in spirit. Drink a BBC for us.

I lived in NY for 3 winters when my Ex husband was in the military. That is tough for a Texas girl haha. I fell twice. Then, I learned to walk slowwww. It's 86 degrees here today.

I'm home for lunch checking on my sick one and eating lean cuisine.

Karen you will have to tell me your experiences with Costa Maya. I know for sure I'm not going horseback riding. Thank you Heidi. Looks like we may be going there too.

My good news:
Chris had a contest with Coke a few months ago and the top 2 sales people would get the chance to go to Dallas, TX and win a mustang. Well when the contest ended he was in third place so he missed it by like 15 cases. Well his boss wasn't counting Rockstar product and he should have been so that put Chris in 2nd place so he is going to Dallas. Better yet, he gets to take me. We are staying at some fancy resort called the Gaylord Texan resort. I looked it up on the internet and it is a 5 star resort and sits on a lake and is HUGE!!!!! We leave in 2 weeks!!!! We will be arriving on Thursday March 2nd and coming back Saturday March 4th. On March 5th, my parents are taking us to see Beauty and the Beast at the dinner theatre.....it will be the best weekend!!!!!!
