Cranberry or Pineapple??

First... justme2.... welcome aboard... we are a bunch of cruisers that have gone through 70 pages talking about MANY cruise foods, tips, drinks (one of our most popular subjects ), and excursions etc.... Within these 70 pages, there have been hurricanes that have hit us personally in one way or another, deaths, almost divorces, injuries and other personal things that helped us have a very supportive along with fun and successful thread. For every sad thing that has happened, we have had a fellow member close to boarding their dream vacation in which we ALL get excited and we ALL look forward to hearing about and for a short while, we can laugh before getting back to life as it is for each of us... being very hard for some of us since this thread has posted.
Up until now, we have had absolutely NO negative comments and No problems. It is very unfortunate that as you are starting out, you see this very successful thread, being questioned by another newer member that obviously has nothing better to do than start trouble.
If this post is a bother to anyone... we are not keeping you here, please feel free to find a post where you fit in. However, if you would like to stay, we welcome laughs, jokes, support and positive feedback. I think my strategy from now on, as to NOT make this any more negative, will be to totally ignore the parts that do not appeal to me.
Justme2.... are you cruisin? There are a few on this thread that have cruised with DISNEY many times. Let us know when and where you are going and we will be more than glad to give you input and answer questions.
Jrsy Boy . . . you are GOOD!!! I am so glad you climbed aboard!!!! Maybe you should pm us all and give your email address or something in case we get banned because we are mixing fun with cruising!
By the way... when I went to PORT CANAVERAL this past weekend... I stopped in to Shirleys store (the one who makes the baskets for the CRUISE SHIP) and I put an anniversary card in Marcies basket since she has had such a hard time and was now able to get away and enjoy life for a little while (on the DISNEY CRUISE SHIP). I am sure she will be SO surprised!!!!
So guys... see you later... Ya, know, if they didn't want us to have fun on these boards... they wouldn't have all these fun icons (right now I wish I could pull up a drinking icon!!! or the Crazy icon!!!). I think I will check in after I go fishing. Karen

Welcome onboard to all that have posted in the last day or so who get us. We love new happy members. DIs is a geat board and I love coming here! On this thread we have become a family. And you know who family will be.

As of this moment we have a member at WDW who will be foing on her first cruise on Wednesday on the WOnder. They changed their sailing dates so everyone can be onboard for Thanksgiving. This will be her first cruise EVER!! We are all excited for her and hope she is having a ball.

Karen and Jrsy Boy thanks for the pms. That helped me alot! Love you guys!!

I wish I could afford Starbucks!!! After buying my home, I now have to make my favorite carmel apple cider at home!!!! (but thats okay, I get to add more whip cream and caramel if I want, and have another cup, or 4!!!)

Whoever said they shhould put a Starbucks on the DCL was absolutely right. I am surprised they haven't thought of it. I would be there at ;least once a day if not twice...... then, maybe in the evening, so get a coffee and add my kaluha (sp)!!!

I read a while back that Disney was putting a Starbucks at WDW. But in June I never saw one.

Yeah it would be wonderful to have Starbucks available.

Heidi I rarely go but I do love them. By Dad came for a visit yesterday and he gave me Starbucks money for the week....lol....he gave me $17 so I figure I can do them three times if I want. I use Starbucks tih Jeff to get him to go shopping with me... I use it as a bribe for the kids to make the behave as we are out and about shopping....it normally works...

I wonder how Marcie is doing. It is only 2 more days until she is on the Wonder!!! I hope the weather is good for her down there!!

Selena.... You SHARE your Starbucks cards??? What a GOOD mom!!!! No, actually, I am a good mom too, as I go exercise with my daughters at Curves and then we stop at Starbucks after. I get a venti 2% 2 splenda latte as to NOT put on all the weight I just worked off. My starbucks is figured into as 1/4 of my carb diet!! I do NOT know where I would be w/o it! Actually my DH bought me a Krups espresso machine 2 Valentines ago and I use it every day. I tell him it was the best investment he made aside from my picture phone!!!! Gotta go to work now. Starbucks cards make great stocking stuffers. Just make sure you tell everyone you know, then they'll be buying coffee for you all year.

I'm not surprised that DCL and WDW don't have Starbucks yet because I'm sure that Disney doesn't want to share the $$$ with Starbucks if they can figure out a way to keep it all to themselves. That is why they opened their own coffee lounge rather than giving coffee drinks away free at the drink station. Same thing with smoothies. If Jamba Juice and Planet Smoothie can get people to pay big bucks for smoothies, then DCL wants to make sure they don't miss out on the extra cash.

See how this thread ALWAYS comes back to drinks available on DCL, which was how it started to begin with.

Gosh, it has been awhile since I was on the thread. Lots of DCL TALK AND TALK ABOUT DRINKS onboard. I, too, am surprised that Starbucks hasn't been allowed on however JrsyBoy hit it on the nose. With that said, I dislike anything that has a coffee taste to it so I stick with my diet coke at the DRINK STATION ON DECK 9 ON THE DISNEY MAGIC. I also have either my DRINK OF THE DAY or their wonderful BBC's.

Been thinking about MARCIE and her future CRUISE ON THE WONDER. Hope the weather holds out for her LAND AND SEA PACKAGE. Gosh, I wish I would have thought about sending a card. She will have such a nice surprise.

I wanted to thank Heidi for sending you all the addresses. I have been so busy with the death of my mom and our hospitalized friend that I don't have much time for me anymore.

Hello to all that popped in over the weekend. Youare so welcome to stay.

I just went to the liquor store and bought cheap coconut rum to try over the weekend. I also bought CRANBERRY JUICE AND PINEAPPLE JUICE. Heidi and I are going to be gone from Wed to Saturday. Heidi's twin sister's inlaws have a huge cabin that ten of us are going to for Thanksgiving. I will babysit my twin 5 mo old grandkids as Heidi and everyone else heads out on the 4 wheelers. I am just not brave enough to ride or drive. Besides that, I get lots and lots of hands on on those babies!! Hey, just a thought maybe if I liquor up enough with the coconut rum I would muster up enough courage to get on the 5 wheelers.

I will have more free time to check in tomorrow.

Just got back from work- Curves was *dead* tonight- like maybe 20 people came in the whole time I was there from 5-9! Never more than 5 on the circuit- soo bizarre. It was pouring rain, though. And people are getting ready for Thanksgiving.

I thought of you ladies tonight. My bf called my nephew (2 yo) a "big monkey" cause he was playing around and he replied "No, Robbie. You're a big monkey - I"m a little monkey." so cute!

I think I'm going to have to try that caramel apple cider thing. Youare mkaing it sound so yummy! I'm trying to be good, at least until Christmas, though. So, we'll see.

Sandy, this is a horrible admission, but since I am among friends I will tell you that I am only recently able to drink coconut rum again. I am *not* a big drinker, but back in the day I was Pledgemaster of my sorority and when the pledge season ended someone gave me a bottle of Malibu as a present that night. I drank the entire bottle that night. It was bad. Now, 4 1/2 or so years later I am finally able to enjoy the taste again.

Sandy, that is so nice that both sides of the family get along so well. My family is great except for one of my sisters in law. Ick. She will cause trouble somehow. I'm going to try to keep her eating. I bought a huge jar of olives since she loves them just to keep her mouth busy, lol. My boyfriend's mom is young (she had him when she was 21) barely older than my oldest brother, actually. She doesn't give my boyfriend birthday or Christmas gifts, doesn't decorate, doesn't cook or clean so she definitely doesn't do Thanksgiving. My boyfriend's best friend's mother (who is more of a mother to my boyfriend) invited me to go shopping with her on Black Friday, so I might go with her. She's more of a *mother in law* to me than my boyfriend's mom, so I kind of consider his best friend's family my *in laws to be*.


And, wow - twins must run in your family! How wonderful!

Selena- I make truffles with Bailey's that are awesome!!! I will have to find the recipe!

About the Starbucks again, I have bought Starbucks coffee grounds and it never tastes the same at home- I don't know what I do wrong.

Anyway, I have my ornament! When are we sending them out?

Actually, my DH was on eBay this past weekend and actually bought an antique that was in the shape of a mouse head (it went on the top of electric poles... can't remember the name...insulator or something). He said he thought I would appreciate it!!! That was very romantic and it seems to me he is getting a bit excited to go on the DISNEY MAGIC CRUISE!!!! (Hahaha, Sandy baby... ). We ended up bidding on a few DISNEY pins and it seems like we will have a few that match...his and hers... SHOCKED he will even wear them!!! Makes me even more excited togo on the CRUISE.
Now, speaking of which... I cannot wait til Marcie sees my card in her CRUISE BASKET!!!! I just know she will be so surprised. I am praying she doesn't open this thread before she boards!!!! I am telling you now guys, when I CRUISE.... don't expect to hear from me until I am home!!! Don't take it personally! I certainly will be thinking of everyone, everytime I down a drink!!
Lulu ~ you MUST post the truffle recipe. I am actually making SHIP candies and sandollar and starfish candies I am going to put into boxes to give to everyone in the family before we go on the CRUISE. Truffles would be a nice touch!
And Lulu!!!! You killed me!!! Pledgemaster!!!! Coconut rum!!! Not you ???!!!! Coconut Rum and PINEAPPLE JUICE drinking out of the pineapple... that sounds heavenly!!!
Jrsy ~ You are right.... and I am sure that DISNEY has thought about Starbucks but like you said, does not want to share the money. How good are their drinks in the coffee shop on the SHIP.
Sandy ~ Cheap coconut rum??? Someone said to get the good stuff of one of the alcohols... I can't remember which one though. I went to Target and saw this bucket of Frozen Mint Chocolatini Mix. Tomorrow (today by the time you all read this) I will go get a decent bottle of vodka and try it before my party Sat. I will let you know how it is. I need to find out quick because if it is good, I need to get more before Sat.

LuLu - Malibu is always my drink of choice. My ex-boyfriend's mom discovered Malibu and Coke with 2 limes when I was on the DCL cruise and had just turned 21. It is now my signature drink and is usually all I drink when I go out. (unless cheap Happy Hour has Long Islands!!!) So yummy!!!! I use to have an extremely high tolerence to Malibu, but now that I don't go out half as much my tolerence has gone way down!!!!

Wow Pooh ~ Already a box under your tree!!! The only box under my tree (yes, it already up for my Sat party!!!!) is my box to get out to the post office! I was going to try to go today, but man, my list is long. At least it is all ready.
I am off to Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. At BB&B they have a couple little drink sets with matching glasses. I want to get 2 before they run out and I have coupons!!!
I think Lulu dOES get on the ship tomorrow. I am so excited for her....
Speaking of CRUISES!!!!!!!! Did I telll anyone in this rush rush life I lead, that I paid mine off last week????!!!!! I am waiting to get the registered letter receipt and then I will be REAL excited!!!

Hello everyone, a busy day here. Packing everything for the weekend including pineapple & cranberry juice. Can't wait till we are there. I am making myself be good with the diet until we get there then I can indulge in my juices and rum. I will let you all know about the cheap Malibu.

Speaking of Target, I want to buy one of their Christmas boxed gifts. I love DCL's creme brulee and every year Target has the set. This time I am going to buy it!!
