Still no Karen. Wonder where she is at? I am at home again today. I am bored half to death. The house is clean as I plan on getting it/ I have already been to Curves. Now what girls??

I miss Karen. I hope she is okay. I think I'm going to add another pair of jeans to my suitcase. If we don't leave soon I may end up repacking.

Selena, come up with something fun to talk about LOL. I'm going crazy at work. The rest of today and tomorrow are going to be soooo slow.

We are thinking about giving Aerial a set amount of money for souvenirs at WDW and let her figure out what she wants to spend it on. Do you think 12 is old enough for this? Of course I would be watching her to make sure she keeps up with it.

Marcie we made our two children earn their own money and budget it at WDW in June. E was 10 and Mac was 12 then. So I think Ariel would do great. At the least it would be a learning experience. They had a yardsale with my mom and earn over a $100 a piece to take. I told them up front they had to budget their money and once it was gone it was gone. I also told them they needed to look the first few days (we had hopper passes) and then buy closer to the end of the week. Of course E spend every dime he had in 3 days but Mac actually brought money back. I was proud of her. She bought several t shirts and pins plus she bought her best friend a necklace that was $10!!

Fun to talk about huh? I told you I am going crazy. I have swept the kitchen, laudry room and foyer. I have mopped the kitchen and laundry room. I have moved a few things from upstiars to my new bedroom downstairs. I have done two loads of laundry. I have picked up around the house. I do not want to do anything else around here. BUT my mom will be here later today and I will have to do something so we will not get on one anothers nerves....

Do you have sunscreen lotion packed?

Well, what I did was start telling Aerial earlier in the year that she needs to save her allowance for Disney if she wanted to spend some. So, between that and her birthday she has saved $85 we are going to give her a bit too to go with that. It will be interesting to see how she spends it.

Yes, I packed suntan lotion, after sun lotion, and aloe for sunburns. I charged one of my batteries for my digital camera last night and I will be charging the other tonight so that will be ready. I gotta put my door magnets and my cruise docs in my carry-on soon. I would really be mad if I forgot something important LOL. I am going to go through my checklist Thursday night and make sure everything is ready. I wish I was off tomorrow. Dane told me he's taking a half of a day off to finish getting ready. The hours are going slowww

I know what you mean about keeping yourself busy with your Mom there. Actually my Mom and I had a falling out right after the hurricane and really aren't even talking. If you get too stressed while she's there, mop the kitchen again. That should make you feel better.

OK, I did not read much because i want to get this on befroe Marcie leaves and also I have to go to work today and am in the middle of putting up my tree because I am having a get together in 2 weeks and have no time bewtween now and thenm to do it. ANYWAY....
The Rewards Card... we have one to and we use it and it sure comes in handy!!!!
I had a nice time in Canaveral and guess what I saw????? "The Mickey Ship" as the baby (I need to stop calling her that... she is 4 yrs old!!!) calls it!! THAT was SO exciting!!!Even got DH excited I think. The next day we saw the Wonder. Took pics of both. For me, that was the best part oof the trip. Stopped in and saw Shirley at the basket shop (The Perfect Gift). That was also a highlight of my trip. Went on the Sterling Casino Cruise and that was very enjoyable. Won a tiny bit but I only gamble on tiny money.
Tried shark again and for the second time it was good. Went to a place called "Grills" (I think) up[ by the SunCruz Casino boat. This was our second time there. Great food and great drinks.
On the way home we stopped and a nice Chinese buffet and I tried squid for the first time! That was chewy but did not taste bad. Looked very colorful and kinda felt like those long arms were holding on to dear life grapping on to my throat as I tried to swallow it!!! Not really.. it wasn't bad!
Got a couple more Disney clothes for the cruise. I HAVE to buckle down a bit more. I have been slacking and it will take every bit of the 3 months left for me to lose the weight I have to.
No more egg nogs..... but man, they were great!! Not telling how many I had.
Got the money from my sister and need to get the money fro DD and on Fri I will send a cashiers check and pay my cruise off!!!!!!
Got the t-shirts yesterday and they got me excited to. Ordered a Mickey pancake/egg mold and Mickey ice cube trays so I can get everyone going!!!
OK guys.. no time to get any personal messages in. I miss you guys. Just cannot seem to be able to manage my time the same since I started working this summer.

I was in bed last night, my DH told me to turn out the light and I was giggling and talking. He was like go to sleep already. Tonight will be worse. I am definitely packing another pair of jeans. I told my DH if we don't leave soon I'm going to repack. Hehehe he thinks I'm nutty. Actually he's getting excited too. And my DD, she is going to bouncing off the walls.

The weather was nice at Port Canaveral. I did wonder what the weather would be like in Feb and DH reminded me that we will be even more south so I shouldn't redo all my clothes.... yes....even though I go in Feb... all my clothes are in one section of the closet waiting!!! Told you I was bad!!!!!

You guys think you are bad, I keep a plastic storage container with vacation stuff in it. I never use the things in there except when we go on vacations!!
Periodically I add things in there. Ya know if i find something I think I would like to take on the next vacation I go on.

I purchased my airfare for our Enchantment cruise!!!! I am just so excited about it now. Have any of you looked at the ship? They have refurb it at the beginning of the year. Added 93 ft to her!!! I am so excited aobut it. I can't wiat too because I am going to be meeting and crusing with some people I chat with on another board. Theres quite a group on that board that is going on the Freedom in November with us. So it is really exciting that I will get to meet and cruise with some of them prior to the Freedom cruise. I have to reserve my stateroom now. I had to wait for my mom to leave in order to call in the reservation. I do not want to hear her fuss at me about how many vacations we take. She already fussd at me on Sunday when I mentioned I need to purchase passports for all of us. She gets so mad at me. She thinks we spend too much on luxuzy items. In which we probalby do but it is really none of her buisness. She has already written me out of her will what else can she do to me? Oh the best part she has written me out of her will but I am the executor. Do I have to be if I do not get anything. I guess I upset her because Mac did not want anything to do with her while she was here. I can not help it if my child does not feel good and only wants me!!

Karen I am so glad I pmed you too. We thought maybe you guys had jumped or stowed away on a cruise and where never coming back or the next scernio was you have just been drinking entirely too much eggnog and 151 and just could not remember us....

Have any of you had Hot Chocolate and peppermint schnapps? I think that would be good. I have all kinds of stuff to make spiced rum cider. Jeff loves that. I am not as crazy about that. My fav is make some good Russian tea mix and add a liberal amount of Captain Morgans to it. YUMMY

Does any one have any good hot toddies they want to share?

Well I guess I have to cook again tonight. I have the green beans on wonder what else we will eat with them. I have left overs in the frig. We might just be eating left overs with the green beans. Especially if I make a rum and coke with liime!!!

Marcie sorry I did not get back on here but everytime I tried the server was too busy. Your time is running out You are gaoing to have a ball!! I think Ariel has done great to save that much money!! She will be proud of her purchases when she gets home. I donto blame you for giving her money at all. $85 is not that much. If she is like my daughter she will want a t shirt from everywhere. Mac is in adult sizes so that makes the shirts more expensive! Of course Mac loves the girlie t shirts so that makes them even more. Well my kids are Nintendog crazy now. My mom rolled her eyes about that one too.

Yes, I was kind of wondering how much is a realistic amount to give her for 5 days at WDW on souvenirs. We will probably give her $100.

Selena, I bet you are sooooo excited about the Enchantment. Don't let your Mom get to you, if you want to travel then travel.

It is funny Marcie Texas is cold and NC is warm. Or at least it has been off and on for about 2 weeks now. We broke a record one day last week. It was in the 80s. It has been very nice the last couple of days but it is suppose to cool off a lot and just be in the 40's by tomorrow. With rain!! Which will make it colder. I know Sandy and Heidi are laughing at us now.

I just called Jeff and asked him to stop by and pick up some vodka I think I want a cosmo.

Yes I can imagine Heidi & Sandy are laughing at my Texas cold front It's 58 degrees and I do NOT like it Anything under 70 I'm ready to break out a sweater.

My hairdresser just came up to my work and brought me her Chi. She is letting me borrow it to bring so I can fix Aerial's hair for dinners. She cruises a lot so When I went last week to get our haircut I had asked her how was the fastest I could make Aerial's hair presentable for pictures and dinner. She said I tell you what I will let you borrow my Chi. Sooner or later I am going to have to buy her one. She has thick wavy, hair and it looks so good when her hair is done with a Chi. But, Aerial is a tomboy who plays all sports so she just gets up in the morning and puts her hair in a ponytail. So, tonight I'm going to play with her hair and see if I can do it as good as the hairdresser That never works.

I can never make Mac's hair look as good as the guy that cuts her hair. I wish I could. Mac plays softball and basketball so I know what you mean about tom boys. Mac is now taller than I am. I always thought I was 5'3 but she is 5'6 and only a inch taller than I. So I haven't a clue how tall I am. While Mac does prefer the tshirts now made to look more girlie, ya know the shorter sleeves and length of shirt she still does not girlie up much. I was always a girlie girlie so this tom boy stuff is all new for me. I can not understand why she likes to dress like she does. I should never have complained when she was 5 and would never wer anything but skirts and dresses.

Marcie are you working tomorrow. Is Texas 2 or 3 hours different than me??? I am EST.

Yes I would have to laugh at you to if you think 58 is cold. I love you but that is not cold. I really am dreading it tomorrow at 40 and rainy and windy. I will be frozen. Sanyd and Heidi can laugh at me now because if the weather is like they are saying it is suppose to be I am sure my gas logs will come on!! I refuse to freeze!!

Our friends and family think we do way too much traveling as well. Oh well, get over it. We don't eat out that much, we don't go to movies, we don't gamble so there!! If we we pulled our RV around the states as much as we cruise then I think they would think it would be alright. Nope, we save that for the weekends.

Marcie, It's almost time. I am soooooo excited for you. Can I ever relate to not sleeping. My dear old hubby always laughs at me.

Karen, glad you finally remembered all of us. Guess we alll take a back seat to your work and family.

Selena, I would opt out of being the executor if you aren't in the will. Do you realize how much work it is?? Make sure you pay yourself. It is legal and normal to charge.

Selena, That's what Aerial is, 5'6 and I am 5'3. I'm glad she's tall. Maybe she will grow another inch or 2. Yes, unfortunately I have to work tomorrow. I'm working through lunch to leave an hour early to go to Aerial's basketball game. So, maybe it will go fast. I lived in NC once for about 4 months. My best friend from high school was in the marines and I went to take care of her newborn. I really liked it there. I also lived in NY for a few years after that, it was very cold there for a little southern girl like me haha. I am one hour behind you. So when we get to Orlando Friday we will be an hour ahead.

Sandy, a Chi is this very expensive ceramic flat iron that makes your hair straight and shiny. It really does wonders on thick hair. Now, on my hair it would not be worth it. I have very thin hair. I just use the curling iron to straighten mine. I will report tomorrow how good I fix her hair tonight.

I will also report how well I slept hahaha

I've got thick CURLY and WAVY hair. Do you remember the episode on Friends where Monica had the big mess for hair? Well, that is me in humidity. I am a sight to behold in FL and on the ship. Heidi loves to laugh at me. Maybe it would be worth it to buy one. I usually pull it pretty straight with a big round brush and the hairdryer and once in a great while with the flat iron. In fact, better go straighten mine now. It is a curly mess!

I have told mom I do not want to be the executor but she fusses. When I take up for myself she then starts to cry and she goes and tells everyone what a bad daughter I am. That is the one reason I no longer have ties with that side of the family. They all think I am horrible. Or I feel like they do. The worse is when she calls my brother and tells him and then he calls and yells at me. That has only happened once and it really caused a huge rift for a while. I feel like Jeff still has issues with that. I try not to see her much but she comes every week to see the kids. I do not want to take the children away from her reguardless of the treatment they get. It is the only "grandma" they get to see on a regular basis. She really is nuts. I could tell you tells that would blow your mind. I guess that is why I am very sensitive when Jeff tells me I am acting like her or something like that. I NEVER care to turn out like her. NO way.
