We watched The Corpse Bride this weekend. That was fun, but I still like Nightmare Before Christmas better.

Yes, that looks really familiar. I sat on a bench just like the one behind your DS. Very cute picture. :goodvibes

Hi Jrsy!!! How's it going?! Are you feeling better these days?
Man, I just realized this Sunday is Easter.... how bad is that? No table to eat on... guess we will have to go out to eat!!! :confused3 :rotfl2:

I did all of my Easter shopping this weekend. Not sure about cooking though since it's the day after April 15th. We shall see.

Oh my gosh, Jrsy. What an adorable picture. I love it!

Been thinking of Selena all weekend. I am sure her cruise was much better than our weekend of organizing the estate sale!!

Karen, that is so sad about Otis. Sorry!! BUT, the open house sounds great. I knew as soon as I read about the couple that it would make you feel so much better. Pixie dust that they can buy the house!

I am headed out of here but will be back on the computer later.

I believe that was taken in February 2000, when DS was only 3. Now he is 9 and teaching me how to play chess!

Much better, thanks for asking. Finally shook that cold and the transit strike is over, so I don't have to worry about how I'm getting to work.

Jrsy, it had to be horrible for you last week with the transit strike. How did you manage to get to work? The roads looked horrible and the price to park sky rocketed. On top of that, just trying to find a place to park must have been horrific. Oh, I guess I presume you work downtown.

I have to go to a conference all day tomorrow so I probably won't be able to stop in and say hello, have a great Tuesday everyone.

Luckily, my father-in-law works downtown, too, so I was able to bum rides in to work with him and he got the benefit of using the HOV lane on Santa Fe Drive. But, since he is an accountant, he was working until 8:30 most nights so I bummed a ride home with some other people at work who were carpooling. It wasn't really all that bad; I just got behind in my reading by not riding the light rail. It sounds as though the parking prices dropped back to the normal range this morning.

Good morning everyone!!! Selena should be coming home soon.

My friend at work went to the Virgin Islands last year. So, I've been asking her questions. Well today she came in with a brand new Frommers Vigin Islands book that she gave me. I was shocked. I told her she didn't have to do that, but I am excited to read it. Oddly enough it doesn't have anything on St. Martin. I wonder why? Anyone know?

Okay back to work. Only a few days left.

Good morning everyone!!
Great day for me! The neighbor came over this morning and held his hand out and asked "Is this yours?". It was OTIS!!!!! 3-1/2 days MIA. I was shcoked his dogs didn't eat him for breakfast!!! He looked like he was gone but we put him back in the pond and after a couple mins his head popped out!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I am SO happy! He did look a little dry. But all is well here now! All I have to do is sell the house now! Have a great day! Karen

Oh Karen I am so happy you found Otis!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Karen, I am so glad you found Otis!!!!!

Note to self..... go rent Two for the Money :thumbsup2

We rented Memoirs of a Geisha over the weekend. Loved that movie! Loved the book too!!!!
We also rented Chronicles of Narnia. That was really good too. We took two days to watch that one though because I didn't want the kids up too late on school nights.... It was so nice here over the weekend! The kids played outside most of the day on Sunday and after dinner I got out and pitched to them for their baseball game.

Marci... Two For the Money..... Matthew.... OMG!!!! All I can say is you will have to watch the movie more than once b/c #1 you will be looking at him the whole time and will lose sight of what is happening in the movie (which is a good one by the way) and #2 he just is angelic... beautiful... and his smile..... captivating...aaaaahhhhhhhh. :rotfl2:

It is a beautiful day here in CO. I love Spring. I am so happy that Karen found Otis. I know how upset I would have been!

Marcie, that book sounds great! For some reason, I am not surprised that St Martin isn't in there being it isn't considered USVI.

We rented Out of the Blue and Derailed over the weekend. Both great movies. Not movies for the kids however. Can any of you rent from McDonalds like we can in CO? I heard that we are one of a few trial states. It is only 1.00 per night. NICE!

I left the "presentation" early and came back to work for the afternoon. Apparently they thought my job was HR and IT developer. They presenter started speaking in some kind of weird language that I had no idea about....stuff like code, .exe/script, java....okay I am not in IT so I left when we broke for lunch!!!!

For all the CO people, did you know that B-52's bar downtown that sits next door to Lodo's bar and grill is closed. It will now be the new home for MTV's Real World reality TV show. I wonder how much $$$ they paid B-52's for them to close up.

Karen - I am SOOOO glad Otis has been found. What a great day for you.

Just had a really funny thing happen on the way home. I was driving down Pierce on my way home from running errands and I glanced in my rearview mirror. I had to do a double take because behind me riding a motorcycle was the Easter Bunny. It was pretty funny! :rotfl:

Come to think of it the bunny did look familiar..... :scratchin

Cristi - that is hilarious!!!!!!

Shouldn't Selena be back by now??? I can't wait to hear about her trip.

Marcie - how is work for you? Crunch time I am sure!!!!

They started to power wash and paint our complex. Last night I had the crap scared out of me. I went to the kitchen at about 7:45 to get some ice cream and there was a man outside my kitchen window on a ladder and another guy on my balcony. I screamed and ran back into the living room where Chris was!!!!! Then I remembered the painters and I guess they were still working. They are only supose to work until 7:00 but if it gets the job done faster, I say keep painting!!!!
