Cranberry or Pineapple??

I had read on lifehouse's website they will sometimes meet the fans after the show, you just have to wait at their tourbus. So, we hung out there with our new friends and maybe about 20 other people. They brought them pizza in the bus and we could see the walking around but they never came out. :confused3 It's okay, it was still the best night of my life. Jason Wade saw me at his concert. :goodvibes Even if he wouldn't have pointed at me, I still got to see them in person, and hear their show.

We were going to order pizza but by the time we got back to the hotel room service and all the restaurants around were closed, so we ate muffins that I had brought and then went to bed.

On Wednesday I let the girls sleep in awhile and went down to the lobby to get coffee and check my email. Like I said, I enjoyed this hotel, watching all the business people. I got the girls up and after they were dressed I finally got my ride on the light rail, Jrsy. :thumbsup2 We got on the light rail and rode to the musuem district. First stop food, we found a little cafe and had lunch. Then, we walked around Herman park and took pictures and we went to the contemporary art musuem. It was kind of small but they had some interesting things there. When we were leaving the musuem we found another park area with all kinds of sculptures so we spent some time there too. By then it was getting late afternoon so we got back on the light rail and went back to the downtown area and ate an early dinner at an italian place. The food was really good there, but I really don't think the waitress spoke much English and she came off as rude. Anyway, we laughed through our meal and then made our way back to the hotel. I took a nap for an hour while the girls went on every floor to take a picture with the floor number by the elevator. The hotel had bottled water and condiments in the hall of every floor, so they brought back goodies, water and coffee.

Here's light rail pics

When the girls got back to the room I went in search for red bull but they didn't have any at the hotel so I got another cup of coffee then we got a cab to go to the Sweeney Todd play. We told the cab driver where it was and he passed it up and dropped us off at the building next door. It was City Hall. I told the cab driver that he passed it up and he just told us that there were many centers in this building. Which was where the quote came from in Aerial's blog. So I took this opportunity to introduce the girls to the underground system. We went under the city hall into the tunnel and walked under the road next door to the theatre. I don't live in Houston, but I surely knew that the play wasn't at city hall. :rotfl2: We had about 30 more minutes to kill before we could go to our seats so the girls got souveniers and I got a rum & diet coke. The play was really good, but it's a good thing I've seen the movie about 50 times so I could keep up. Aerial is a major Tim Burton, Johnny Depp fan so the movie is played a lot at my house. She also knows all the music. 99% of the play is music. After the play we called a cab while we were walking out but someone else took it. So, we called the cab company again but there was this elderly couple needing a cab, and I let them go before us. Almost everyone was gone by then and we were waiting for the 3rd cab we called when some man walked by and commented on the apron Marci bought. He says, I like your apron, she barely looks up and says thanks and then he said how much was it anyway, wanting her to look at him and she says $25 looks up and screams it's you!!! It was the actor who played Sweeney Todd. They asked him if they could take a pic with him. Here is is.

Thursday we had to wake up earlier because they Astro's game was at 1 and the first 10,000 people there got free tshirts. We got there about 30 minutes before they opened the doors and got our shirts. After that we ate lunch and took pictures before the game. The astro's lost. :confused3 But, it was still fun. After the game on Thursdays during the summer they have a concert so we saw Reckless Kelly. They are from Austin and play upbeat country. I had never heard one of their songs but they were okay and the singer was cute. They sure brought the crazy out in a couple of people and I had fun watching all the people. This one lady and I had a bet that this woman was going to end up on stage. She got very close. After the concert we got to take pictures with the band and talk to the. My camera battery was dying after taking a bunch of pics of the game so I had to use my phone again.

After the concert we had to go back to the hotel to get our luggage and meet the town car. I let the girls go get on the computers in the lobby while I got the luggage and after they brought it to me I was wheeling outside when the bartender stops me. Here I am, wheeling luggage with my sunglasses on and he asks me if I played in the movie Bourne Identiy? Too bad I am not witty when put on the spot. I looked at him so confused and he told me I looked just like Franka Potente and he thought I was her. Okay seriously do I look like this?

So, I go outside to see if the town car is there and I am beyond shocked trying to figure out why he thought I was a movie star when the lady behind the desk comes outside and says she thinks my town car took the pilots that were supposed to be going to the airport. What ended up happening was, these 3 pilots jumped in my town car, thinking it was there and the driver said they were talking away and wouldn't let him talk, so he was driving them to my house. :rotfl2: The lady called the town car and told him to bring the pilots back they were going to make the plane late. I am guessing the pilots stay there a lot because I saw them the night before too. So the pilots come back and my girls tell them they have to have a picture with the pilots that were stolen. :rotfl2: We switched town cars and went home. It was a wonderful trip with a lot of laughing and memories made. I think the girls will remember it for a long time, I know I will.

Marci, sounds like you had a super awesome time. :)

Heidi, the pictures are great! I really like the one of you and the marriage license.

We got back from Corpus Christi yesterday. The kids were in Disney with grandma and grandpa so it was just Brad and I. We had a really good time. It was great being able to do whatever we wanted without having to keep everyone else happy. Here are some pictures from the trip

Huge mango margarita for two. It was 46 oz and they weren't stingy with the alcohol. I thought of you all when I drank it. :)

Sorry if these turn out huge. I sometimes have issues with the sizes.

Gosh Dang you guys are leading such an exciting life.

Heidi gets married.

Sandy goes to weddings.

Marcie goes to Houston, sees Lifehouse, a play and Astros game

Cristi and DH goes on an adult only trip

Jrsy is drooling....

Me....dang I am boring compared to you guys!! lol

Seriously though have been off one whole day and I find myself bored today. I have done lots of work around the house and in the yard (too dry to do too much) and ran all kinds of errands.....Did I say I am bored an I am almost ready to go back to work Monday for CT for my Pride crusie? lol

Happy Father's Day

I will read the thread later. I see Marcie posted her report and some pictures. Can't wait to read.

Ted is cutting the grass and I am somewhat helping. Just wanted Jrsy to know that I was thinking of him.

Marcie - your trip to Houston was awesome. Loved your trip report and pictures. You had quite the exciting time it sounded like.

Cristi - I had no idea you were going on vacation. I have never seen a man-o-war, but they look pretty and scary all at the same time! That margarita was HUGE, my type of drink!!! The picture of you and Brad being "serious" was great. Did the kids have a great vacation too?

Selena - excitement will be starting for you in a little over a week, right? Aren't you going somewhere in the next month? We expect a report back too!!!

I hope all the Father's had a great Father's Day. We had a busy weekend again, eventually we will be able to clean our house from the wedding junk!! We went to another wedding that was fun. Joey and Tyler's birthday party was good. My sister was so mad at her inlaws. The party started at 4:00 and they were starting to cook dinner, well her mother in law decided to take her other grandkids swimming during the middle of the party. Well when she got back food was picked up, presents were opened, cake eaten, guests were leaving and she was mad at my sister that she missed presents and cake. Well, if you stuck around for your grandkids party, then maybe you would have seen this. My sister and BIL had to bring back out and cook more food for them since they went to the pool during everything. How Rude!!!

My BIL just emailed me a few pictures from our white water rafting trip that we took the day after the wedding:

Marcie, your trip report made me tear up. Seeing lifehouse was the best day of your life.....how cool is that?!?!? Then the girls with the Sweeney Todd actor, the pilots, everything sounded like it all came together for a perfect trip packed full of memories. Love the pictures.

Cristi, I really enjoyed your pictures. That drink looks like it was made for ME! Your "serious" picture made me laugh.

Selena, nah, my life isn't full of fun. Just weddings.....and now they are over. Back to same old, same old!

Heidi, yes we leave for Maryland in 10 days. It is for the weekend. We are going up to stay with one my dearest friends in the world. We went on the Freedom of the Seas, to Bike Week in Myrtle Beach last May and I went to Vegas with her last summer (oh yeah saw here in NY too). She is being kind enough to have Jeff and myself and another couple to her house for the weekend. The other couple I met in NY a couple of summers ago, went on the FOS with them and to Vegas with Tammy (her DH had to stay home). I am really looking forward to seeing them all again.

We were suppose to go to Myrtle Beach for 4 days over July 4th but Erik made All Stars (Baseball) and now we have to stay home and play ball. lol We switched our vacation to another week later in July. It all is working out for the best though. Now we are staying at the hotel that was our first choice and for 6 nights verses 4. All for the same amount of points.

Wow Selena, sounds like you have GREAT summer plans. We don't have any plans. But, we hope to go to Mexico in Nov or Dec.

Heidi, is that you in the front of the raft in the first picture?
No, that is Taura. I am in the third picture. The front row (from left to right when looking at the picture) is Chris and Todd, next row is Emily and Morgan, next row is me and Cristina and next row is the guide.

Selena - sounds like a fun weekend! Does E have a lot of games?

E's regular season is ending tonight with the championship. We have 2 of the big hitters on vacation though. After tonight the regular season is over. I am sure the Allstar practice will start up right after that. Our county is hosting the tournament this year. Which will save lots of money. No overnight stays. They timing of the tourny is up in the air. It either starts Saturday, July 5 or the next weekend. Normally it is th weekend of the 4th but since the 4th is on Friday and we normally play on Friday they are considering moving it to the next weekend.

We are looking at taking the Harley out Sunday and riding. There have been a lot of motorcycle accidents lately so I am a bit apprehensive.

OK, I have made my rounds. I am getting up and doing some chores then exercising. After that I am going to wake up the kids.

Marcie, do you know if you caught the last week of Sweeney Todd in Houston? It starts here tonight and the lead looks similar to the guy in your photo, so I'm wondering if it is the same traveling company.

Heidi, I like your signature update.
