Chris's mom has been released from the hospital and is now at the Rehabilitation Center, so there is some hope. Hopefully in 3 weeks she will be able to go home and come to CO!!

Okay I have been thinking about this regarding the wedding. Do we need to tip the DJ? The officiant? The photographers? The florists, cake person, etc? I think tip was added into my price for catering, but do I tip more at the end of the night? HELP!!!! If so, how much??

Because it has been so long since my wedding (14 years last week, thankyouverymuch), I couldn't remember who we tipped and who we didn't (but I do remember that I wore black Chuck Taylor Converse high tops with white polka dots with my tux), so I Googled "wedding tipping" and found a few helpful links:

LINK 2
LINK 3

There were plenty more, so you should be able to find everything you need and more.

:cool1: Jrsy, I want to see some pictures and:

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY!

Great links. Very informative!

It has been a long time since we got married, so I can't remember exactly. I know we tipped the pastor and the limo driver. We didn't have florists (we made all of our own arrangements). I don't remember tipping the cake person, but she was included in the meal I know. I can't remember for the photographers or DJ.

We will keep our fingers crossed that Chris's mom can make it for the wedding.

Jrsy your wedding shoes sounds cool.

Heidi, I just remember tipping the priest.

I've had a horrible day with a few minor ups too after some major communication. Work, and personal. Ugghhh

Very little update, my ex didn't show up, the child support is going to go up a LOT. More then double. But, not until he shows up and signs the papers. Apparently he did call and reschedule and he has another appt now. So, we shall see.

Gotta run to Aerial's award ceremony at the school.

Marcie, pixie dust that your ex gets his you know what in the office and signs the paperwork!!

Jrsy, your tux and shoes!

Heidi, before I forget to tell you.....Dad and I are declining the river rafting offer. Next time Dad will go!

Happy Belated Anniversary Jrsy and Tammy.

Jrsy - thanks so much for the links, that helps a lot!

Marcie - pixie dust to you, I hope your ex gets in there soon and signs the paperwork quickly. I can't believe they have to wait for his signatures, because what deadbeat would jump up to pay double. You deserve it, I hope you get it soon. If you need to talk, I am here for you.

Cristi - thanks!!

Tomorrow is my Bachelorette party!!!!!

I forgot to add that the girls play went great. It was really cute. They did the play Tom Sawyer. Towards the end, the prop door to Aunt Polly's house fell a part and all the kids had the giggles after that and couldn't get their lines out. It was so cute. They tried on their dresses because it was just altered and it fit good. Jen (Chris's ex wife) is going to keep the dresses for us and press them and make sure all the wrinkles are out. It was very nice of her to do that for us, she told us that is her job and she loves it so she would gladly do it for us. She is also making sure the dresses fit perfectly on the girls right before the wedding and will make any changes if something needs to be done. Her and I had a great time talking last night.

Heidi, that is really great that you talked. It sure makes things a lot easier when everyone can get along. I am so happy for you, you will be a married woman soon!!!!!

Sounds like the play was really cute.

Jrsy your wedding shoes sounds cool.
I should also point out that Tammy didn't know about the plan with the shoes until she saw me wearing them on our wedding day. I also had all of my groomsmen wearing plain plack Chuck T's.

Jrsy, your tux and shoes!
I'll have to dig out the photos and scan some of them. Maybe I'll find some time this weekend.

Tomorrow is my Bachelorette party!!!!!
I know and I am so nervous. It has been a long time since I've jumped out of a cake wearing only a banana hammock in front of a room full of women. But, for Heidi, I was willing to come out of retirement.

I felt so special yesterday, the girls had a crowd cheering them on and they came running to me first to give me the biggest hug. They use to introduce me as their dad's girlfriend, then their dad's fiance, and now they are introducing me as there soon to be step mom!!

We brought the dresses up yesterday and only Amanda and Chris's ex-wifes sister (Shelly) were there because Emily had an orthodontist appointment. Amanda ran to try on the dress (while I held Shelly's baby). Then Emily came home a few minutes after we got there. She saw the dresses and kept saying, "OMG, the dresses are here" and she was so excited, well it didn't register with her that we were the one's that brought the dresses and when she came in to the dining room she saw us sitting there and jumped on us with a big hug.

Shelly's baby is adorable and he is their miracle baby. His name is Nathan and he is 3 months old. They have had years and years of infertility issues and went through everything but still could not conceive. So they looked into adoption. They had tired to adopt 8 different times, and each time the birth mom would call them to tell them to come down to the hospital and then when the baby was born, they wouldn't give the baby up. So the packed up their nursery and gave up. Well 3 months ago they got the same call, ran to the hospital and now Little Nathan is their's. She still keeps in touvh with the birth mom, but Nathan is such a little cutie! I got to hold him all night long!!! They are visiting here from Missouri.

OMG :scared1: I thought you weren't going to tell anyone. I wanted to suprise my mom. :rotfl2:

Thank you that means a lot!! I will take you up on that sometimeYesterday was a horrible day. A bunch of things hit me at once. I am so glad it's over.

Aerial got the presidential award and an overachiever award in art and computer.

Then after I got home Lorin, the guy I've been seeing called me and told me he was coming in after work today since I didn't want to go to Houston. So, I spent the next hour cleaning up my house. I was thinking about going to bed when my friends Lauren and Joey called and asked if I wanted to go over and watch a movie. Joey lives in the same apartment as me. So, I walked down there and had a few drinks and ended up staying until midnight. I am tired and hungover. :confused3 But, I needed to be around my friends. I know I've said this before, but sometimes it is soooooo stressful and tiring being a single mother, being the everything and not having any family or someone to really go to, to vent or get support. I love my friends (all of you included), they have become my family.

Ummm should I plan on buying my plane ticket, I gotta see this. Talk about hot.

   I am not sure if you have my cell phone number or not, but you can call me anytime.   I'm sorry you had a rough day. I hope this weekend is a lot better for you.

My best friend feels the same way. She is tired of being a single parent. She gets angry at times because her ex can go to the beach, go out to the bars, hang out anywhere without having to find a babysitter and she does.
