It rained a lot but I didn't hear a lot of storming, it was mostly wind. When I got up this morning there were things blown all over the place. I guess I slept through a lot of it. Glad that's over, no more rain in the forecast. It's still windy though.

Well, I finally did it. Every 3 years in Texas (I don't know about anywhere else) you are legally allowed a review of child support from the state. They send a paper to both parties asking if you want one. Well, 6 years ago I sent it in, my ex had a really good job and the child support office told me, my child support would double. (Remember it's still the minimum wage amount.) Anyway, he got really mad and next thing I know, before the court date, he was out of a job. I found out later from Aerial that he got fired for going in the work late constantly. So, we get to court and they do nothing because he doesn't have a job. The next review came along and I did nothing because, I was afraid he would end up out of work again, which means NO child support until they catch up to where his new job is and demand they take it out of his check. So, here we go again, 3 years later. He's had the same job for about 2 years now, a record for him I think. Well after the shirt incident I am going to try again. I don't remember if I posted, but he did end up replacing her shirt, with a shirt off the clearance rack that was a size 2x, we could both fit in it. She's using it for a sleep shirt. He would not buy her an appropriate school shirt to replace it and told her she could NOT bring any of her clothes to my house. So, I sent in to have a review. I got the paperwork yesterday and it says, he has a month to reply with his questionaire about his income and sending in his check stubs, etc. I will keep you updated. I really do not want to be labeled as one of these women after her ex's money. But, he will NOT help in anyway with anything but the minimum wage child support. Now that I am single I really could use some help. Anyway, the law is what the law is and I am sure he is paying way under 17.5% of his income.

Good for you, Marcie! He needs to take responsibility and it shouldn't reflect badly on you for trying to make him live up to that. Deadbeat dads make me sick...and my own brother is one of them (my other brother has 4 kids of his own and one foster kid, so he more than balances out the family karma).

Marcie - way to go girl, good for you and standing up for what you deserve. I am proud of you. No way would you be seen as going after your ex's money, he needs to realize how much it costs to raise a kid. I am thankful that Chris and his ex wife don't have this problem, Chris pays extra on top of what the court orders. Everytime he gets a raise, it will go to his ex..not because the court says so, he does it on his own. He realizes it is not cheap to raise kids. They split the fees for school, sports, activities, etc on top of the child support. Dead Beat dad's make me so angry.

:grouphug: Thank you both for your support, I will remember that when he gets mad and blows up. I will NOT feel guilty. I am sure he will have something to say to Aerial too. :confused3

Awww the Easter bunny just stopped by to give us each beach bags, with a personalized name tag and an insulated cup with a lid with our initials embrodried on material in the sleeve.

Hola monkeys! Found out aboot our new digs, just thought I would stop in and say hello!

Well, you already know the best way to show your appreciation for my support...

Hi Robbie, so good to hear from you FINALLY. What has it been.....a year or so?:rotfl2:

Marcie, :woohoo: way to go!! You are absolutely doing the right thing and don't think otherwise. It IS expensive to raise a child and it is nice that Chris realizes it. Too bad others don't!! Oh my gosh, a 2X. He did that out of spite!! I wish the Easter Bunny would remember me. He hasn't for years now. Maybe cuz I am old!

Happy Spring! It is suppose to be 63 today!!!! I wish I could get outside to enjoy it.

Hey Robbie good to see ya!

We may go to the beach on Sunday. It will probably be a little cool out there, but it's supposed to be a clear sunny day.

Wow Marcie, that really is green tequila...I have never seen green tequila before.
