Hi everyone! It sounds like everyone had a nice Mother's Day, except Steph, sorry you were feeling bad.

Jrsy, those pictures are great. I haven't actually been down to Roxborough, I might have to check it out.

We had a good time at Hudson Gardens, but it wasn't as good as years past. They changed their caterer and the food wasn't as good. The rest of the day was just a lazy day around the house for me. I read some, watched tv, played scattergories with Rachel. Jacob started reading HP and the Sorcerer's Stone on Sunday morning and he finished it last night. I guess he really liked it :thumbsup2

Marcie, I heard that there were some openings at POP. I never had any interest in POP until just recently. I saw some pictures. That place looks soooo good. I will definitely try and get in there next time.

She gave me a quote for POP and for Port Orleans. There is no free dining at POP she said...without free dining it was about 850 and with dining it was 1125. Port Orleans was 1103 with free dining. I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just wait until next year and book as soon as it comes out.

I don't have much time to post at the moment. I have to get to work and I have to take Aerial to the doc today I think she has strep throat. I am soooo very glad that the trip is over. I will write more later.

LuLu - I wish I could take a picture of the complete ring, but I already gave it to my mom yesterday to hold it in the safe deposit box until the wedding. I can still take a picture of the solitaire with the bigger diamond if you want!! I can't believe how much bigger it is then my last one...it's .25 bigger than the last one. Wedding plans are going great since we actually found a place and I guess that is the hardest thing to find is that. Still no dress, I want to tone more before I find the perfect dress. We still need to pick out invitations and a photographer....okay the more I talk about it the more I realize how much more we need to do!!!!

Cristi - I went to a tasting at Hudson Gardens once. We had the Food Guy caterer. It is nice there, I didn't realize they caterer for Mother's Day...that is such a good idea.

Marcie - I hope Aerial feels better, what is up with Strep Throat going around everywhere? Over at the Codes and Rates board there were quite a few Disers that got Pop so they must have had a certain number of rooms held for free dining. I would keep trying every day or every week to see if any cancellations happen at All Stars or Pop.

Steph, hope you feel better!

Thanks! I am doing MUCH better! We have had a ton of rain (we've been in a severe drought for the last few years so, we needed it!) and it has caused everyones allergies to go haywire! LOL! I haven't had this many allergy problems in about 8 or 9 yrs!

Lulu it sounds like your weekend was so much fun!

Do I just have to go through Dreams Unlimited or is it through Disney World too? I usually know all this stuff, but with everything I'm going through I'm kinda lost. Should I just ask for a new quote from Dreams and see?

Jrsy, what great pictures! *Definitely* not NJ, that's for sure!
Come on, Lulu, you know that New Jersey is beautiful, too, if you look in the right places.

Oh wow, now that was fun for me to see pics of NJ!! My DISfamily lives there.

Marcie, if you are still thinking about WDW. Ted and I LOVED, LOVED Port Orleans Riverside.

Steph, we were in a severe drought as well for a few years. Now look. Maybe your moisture will stay for a few years now. Glad you are feeling better.

On my way to the bank.

That looks familiar - Long Beach Island?

I live up by Newark, Elizabeth, Jersey City :scared1: - definitely not the right places. pirate:

Yesterday there were 2 fights at my school and my student's locker was a victim of an arson attack. (Her ex boyfriend lit it on fire). Can kids ever be expelled? I mean, one of my students committed armed robbery and he's still here!

I am hoping to go "down the shore" or to a better area in a year or two. Eventually out of NJ, if taxes don't change around here.

Yes, it was a great weekend!

Oh, and my niece is *crawling*! She finally got it  and she can't be stopped now!:dance3:

:scared1: Oh my!!!! I guess if they're expelled it messes up their self esteem (said with tongue firmly in cheek).

Good call. Both were taken in Beach Haven. The sunset was taken from Morrison's Restaurant, which I have heard burned down about three months after we were there. Such a shame. Breakfast there was great because how often do you get eggs with a side of scallops or shrimp? The darker clouds coming from the right of that picture are from a forest fire that closed the GSP. We thought we had left the forest fires behind in Colorado when we took that trip.

I know you have to look harder for scenery in Newark, Elizabeth & Jersey City but you can still find it. I went to a wedding reception in Newark once at the top of a pretty tall building and the scenery from there was incredible. Plus, the change as it went from afternoon to evening to night was remarkable.

Sheez Lulu, I think Steph hit it right. Can't play with their self esteem. Wow, your niece is already crawling? Now the FUN part is beginning!!!!

Yes. I've actually eaten at Morrison's. What a great place! Never did bfast, though. also used to love the Quarter Deck Inn, which is gone, too. Beautiful view. We like Howard's, too because of the view of the marina (and the french fried lobster doesn't hurt).

Where did you go to a wedding in Newark? There are a few nice historical homes in Newark that are really pretty. The view of the Bayonne bridge at night is pretty cool, too and esp. when you drive into Jersey City and it seems like the New York City skyline is ten feet away. That's a pretty cool view. There's a hill in Hoboken that has a fabulous view of the skyline, too!

I feel so strange DISing at work, but they have me filling in for this Math teacher and I have like three kids here, reading books or sleeping because he left no assignment.

Every child has the right to an education, and a second chance, (and a third, and a fourth, and a fifth) ;)

Yes, the little one is unstoppable! So cute! She's something else. She's 10 months and my nephew Matthew was drinking from a Capri Sun. She took it out of his hand, found the straw and drank it herself, all the way to the bottom! She's going to mess with him big time!

It was actually just the reception which was held at The Newark Club. They even had a telescope so that you could really take in the view. One of my buddies was trying to find his apartment in Manhattan.

And here I thought that kids (and teachers!) deserved to go to a felon free school..... :rolleyes1

:rotfl: :rotfl: I LOVE it!!! My youngest two (boy 9 & girl 5) are 3 1/2 yrs apart (and so are our oldest two) and it is/was so cute watching the younger girl bug the big brother (they are both b/g combos)!! :rotfl2:

LuLu - your niece sounds adorable. Sounds like she will be able to hold her own. The capri sun story was hilarious.

Had a good evening last night. Went swimming with Heidi and Chris. We walked the current pool. I feel it today. Not bad but can feel I did something. Of course, we hit the slide a few times, too.
