I made it through Grey's. What a sad show. :confused3

Dane is really wanting to just pick an island or something and go there on our next trip. Bahamas or St. Thomas or somewhere in Mexico. So, I dunno we will see. In another year or two I want to go back to WDW too.

I swear by Zicam. It is the best stuff out there. It does help lessen your symptons and helps you to cope with being sick. Remember a few years ago when I got so sick with a cold just 3 days before going on my birthday cruise? This is what I used. I also took over the counter Walmart brand (tylenol equal) severe cold medicine. The combo of the two helped me want to go on that cruise. I honestly was so sick I had no desire to go on that vacation.

Marcie get well soon!!!

I thought I posted earlier but I guess something freaky happened.

Heidi I need your help. Jeff can not go with me to Vegas. I am still going. What is the monorail pass? How much does it cost? I found a deal online that would give me a pass for free with the reservation for me and Bonnie.

How about a poll.

I need each of your serious opinion. I will be flying to Vegas by myself. I have never flown that far before and I have to admit I have always had the fear of the unknown. Last years flight to NY was an emotional thing for me. I know that sounds silly but it is the truth. I was really scared. Of course I did not tell anyone. lol Anyway I can fly with one stop to Vegas for $200-$325 depending on which flight I chose. This is the feeling of the unknown I have. I hate layovers!! I do not feel comfortable in navigating a large airport by myself. Should I go ahead and bite the bullet and pay $400 for a nonstop flight. My gut is screaming YES!!!!

I also have the fear of making decisions. I am afraid I will make the wrong one so I am one of those people who can not make a decision without help.

** yes jrsy the word serious being underlined is for you. lol

:rotfl2: Did I tell you guys I am going on a NYE cruise. I am going hopefully with Jeff. lol We are going out of New Orleans. My friend, Barbara, lives there and we are cruising with her. I am hoping my friend Bonnie will room with Barbara. Not sure if Jeff can fly down early to NOLA but I will be flying there a few days prior to the cruise. Geez that means if he does not go I will have to make another decision alone. I really suck at those.

As you all know I post on another board or two. Well I feel about you guys as family just like I feel about my Freedom thread family. I learned tonight one of our members of our Feedom baby thread passed away. He was a wonderful wonderful man. He was only 49. He passed of a massive heart attack. I was not fortunate enough to meet him but was to in July in Vegas. He has been sick with a terrible cold and we were all worried about him. But this ... well needless to say I am very torn up over this situation.

I think with Sandra and now this ...well I have no words for it all. I am telling you life is too short to sweat the crap I have been dealing with. I hate more than anything it took something like this to make me see how unimportant those people can be.

Please I know you do not know this person but please keep Frank's family in your prayers. He was a motorcycle cop in Florida. A very kind and loving person. He was lots of fun and loved to pick on us all.

With that being said please know I love each of you very much.

Oh MY!

How terrible! I will keep him in my prayers.
I have quite a few *online friends* that I feel very close to -- I've known some of them for 13yrs!

Selena, I am so sorry to hear about Frank. He was so young. Sometimes I think a young person makes a death even harder. His family are in our prayers.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT COSMO ARRIVED. YAHOO!!

Stephanie, maybe we can cruise together again! We MIGHT take the eastern repo again.

Marcie, how are you feeling?

Love you guys to pieces. That means you too, Jrsy!!

Thank you guys for being so nice and keeping his family in your prayers. He was an amazing man.

WINTER HAVEN - Frank Storey, a dedicated Winter Haven Police Department motorcycle officer, died early Wednesday morning at Winter Haven Hospital as the result of a massive heart attack.
Storey, 49, had been with the Winter Haven Police Department since Aug. 1, 1994. One of four motorcycle officers with the department, he was described by police Capt. Vic Neal as an outstanding officer who had numerous awards.
"In 12 years, he's been nominated for Officer of the Year twice," Neal said Wednesday. "In 1993, he was the American Legion Auxiliary Officer of the Year, had seven commendations and nine letters of appreciation in his file. He was also given a Meritorious Service Award for defusing a potentially deadly situation when he talked a citizen out of suicide."
According to Neal, Storey experienced a bout of bronchitis and pneumonia last week. Around midnight Tuesday, the officer started complaining to his wife of chest pains, and she immediately took him to the hospital. After having an EKG, Storey was undergoing a cardiac catheterization when he suffered the heart attack.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, the property and evidence manager for the Winter Haven Police Department, Storey is survived by two grown daughters, a granddaughter and a grandson.
"This is a huge loss," Neal said. "He was a loyal, public servant. If we needed a volunteer, he'd be the first to offer. Anyone who needed anything at all, Storey was right there. "He was a cop's cop. That's the only way to describe him. He will be greatly missed."

That would be great! Because this time we might actually see each other ON the ship! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
:rotfl2: Good one.:thumbsup2

Selena - you can do a layover, I promise you will be okay. What city is the layover in? We can get a layout of the airport for you so that you can plan a head of time where you need to go. You will be fine.

I am not sure about the monrail, we never took the monorail all we used was the bus. I am sure the monorail is a lot better than the bus because you don't have to wait as long in that heat. Sorry I can't be more help for you. I will try and research out more of the monorail for you.

That is so sad about Frank.:sad1: His family is in my prayers. Thank you for sharing his story with us.

Jrsy - glad you got Cosmo. Can you believe it, your down to single digits....how unfocused at work are you????

Marcie - how is tax season going?

I used to work for the company that designed that monorail. You can still ride it, though, because I didn't work on the design myself, so it should be safe.

Unfortunately, including today, I have 8 days of work and actually have to get some things done before I leave. I did start packing this weekend, though. We also have Tammy's 40th birthday party on Saturday and one of her friends is flying in from Baltimore on Friday night. Cosmo will be coming to the party with us, too.

Selena, I am very sorry to hear about your friend. That is so sad. He sounded like a great guy.

We have to leave in about 45 minutes to go for my LASIK surgery. I am a little nervous. My stomach has started doing flip flops and my hand is tingling. Hopefully they give me the Valium as soon as I get there. :)
