Cranberry or Pineapple?? Part 2

Good morning. Sorry I was away for awhile this weekend, it was a very busy weekend!!!!

Selena - I have no idea what Melaleuca products are!!!?? Never even heard of them.

Luckily we do not have to drive by Berthoud Pass so we weren't close to the Avalanche. That use to be one of the main places we would go skiing until they closed down and they took out the lifts. Now we go to Loveland and ski. It is cheap, close and we don't have to deal with all the tourists in the resort ski towns!!! Skiing was cold and windy but great powder, well worth it!!!!

Cristi was right. We were at a bridal show yesterday. OMG, I was so thankful for my sister being there. She is like a pro at those things. Usually she is the shy one and I am the talkative go getter, but roles were reversed yesterday. I was so overwhelmed by all the booths and people wanting to talk to me because I had on a bride-to-be sticker!!!! My sister and mom were great and grabbed everything for me and pulled me a long. It was fun, but next time I will be more prepared. I did buy these cool these for center pieces. They are called Pearl beads. They start out like sand and then you soak them in water and they turn to the size of a small marble. They are so pretty, you can add floating candles, lights, dye to change the colors, and oils for scents. When you are done you just rinse them off and they go back to the clear pearl color. If you let them dry, they will shrink back down to sand and you can use it again up to 5 times, or else you can keep them in water and they will stay good forever. It is really cool!!! Not so sure if I would make Chris go to another one!!!! He was all about the free food, but didn't like much else.

About 14 -15 yrs ago I knew alot of people that were selling those products. It's like Amway. :) Except with Tree Tea oil. :)

That's great if they're helping your allergies.

This is why I love ebay. You do not have to join anything.

Heidi remember you can go to the craft stores to buy alot of stuff for a wedding much cheaper than having a florist do them. BUT the downfall is someone will have to be responsible for putting those things out. If you hire a wedding director or someone is one for you as a wedding gift they normally would handle this type of stuff.

I helped on a wedding a while back that this is what was done. Some of the center pieces for the reception was bought at AC Moore's and they had to put them out. Much cheaper too. And believe me they were beauitful. Also you may want to check if there's a florist who sells whort stem roses. They are much cheaper and you can cut them at the bloom and let them float or do a small arrangement with them. It makes very pretty arrangement if you buy small round fat bowls with a smaller top and then put a tiny bit of water in them and just toss the flowers in. Very pretty. But like I said in doing things like this you have to have the recption all prior to the wedding and you have to have someone to do this that is not in the wedding party.

Happy Monday everyone. It is beauitful here today. The sun came back out after raining again for 16 hours. We were under flood warnings all day yesterday due to all the rain we have received lately.

Heidi, Melelauca are natureal products that are suppose to help allergies and the such. Due to all the problems Mac has had and Jeff and I, we decided to switch our cleaning products over to these products. We have noticed for some time that when I clean we all have major headaches. You do not have to sign up with the company. Products are available o Ebay.

Have I said how much I like Ebay lately? lol

I am glad to hear each of you were not involved in that yesterday. Yes no one was hurt but the emotional toll of being swept off of a mountain in an avalche seems to me to be a horrible thing to have to deal with. I am sure many of those in the cars will have some emotional issues. I know I would.

Jrys, your vacation is getting really close. :goodvibes
We're too excited to sleep!

Finally did our on-line documents last night and came up with a password for the Oceaneers Lab. Hoping with all the snow we've been having, the odds will be against another storm when we leave on 02/01.

From what I saw, it looked like the avalanche covered US40 in two spots because it was right above a switchback. Looked like it was actually near the bottom on the Empire side of Berthoud Pass.

Went to a place on Saturday called Luca's Jersey Pizza. The place was decorated with Giants, Yankees, Bruce Springsteen and The Sopranos. There was a NJ map that had so many pins in it from people who had been there to eat that I couldn't even put one in where I am from. There were also a bunch of NJ license plates on the walls. Oh...and the pizza was good, too.

Please say this is a joke....nope it's not. They are predicting another BLIZZARD by the end of the week. I haven't watched the news yet but this is what my office is talking about. I guess it is supose to be as big as the one we had before Christmas and it will be starting on Thursday and finish up on Saturday. Okay, I have had enough og the snow for awhile, please please please pass us and go to the places that need it!!!!! We need the current snow to melt before we get anymore because we have no where left to put new snow. What is up with this weather???

Selena - thanks for the tips!!! :)

Jrsy - WOW, that will come fast!!! Pixie Dust for NO more SNOW so you and your family can get out and take a great cruise!!!

NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I don't want anymore snow. Cookie sales start on Saturday and we are supposed to have a cookie rally Friday night. I really hope we don't get much so we can still get all of our girl scout things done this week.

Jrsy, I think I would be closely watching the weather and getting out of town early if it looks like snow again. I know that when we go next December that is what I will be doing.

Wow Jrsy your trip has snuck up on me. I am sure though you guys are counting it down. :cool1:

I will pray for no more snow for all of you that live out there.

OK Marcie what is a 30 second roll? I have never heard of that one. Is it good. Sounds like Ariel likes the cooked sushi rolls.

When I get home I will tell you what it has in it. We have a to go menu at the house. She liked it but she said it was spicy.

My dad was living (and working) in DC when these same type of blizzards were hitting the NE. He sent pics of snow being piled soooooo high and then more snow! He could take the subway to work.

Thanks for the compliment Heidi but I didn't do anything but have fun with Chris. I was being my nervous self. I was so impressed with Stacey!

Jrsy, I think we should ALL go with you on your trip. We deserve some sun!

Hi to everyone.

Well if we are all going count me in. Do you think my boss would notice I'm gone? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

My DH bought an ipod from a co-worker, she's had it a month and didn't want it so she sold it to him for $100. It's a Nano. So he gets home and his computer won't recognize it, but his computer will recognize my ipod and Aerial's. AND, My computer & Aerial's computer will recognize his new Nano. Weird. We finally stopped messing with it and decided it was time to relax.

Selena, here is the 30 second roll....Spicy marinated crab meat, boiled shrimp, Kaiware & Avocado wrapped w/soy bean paper. There is also a 60 second roll which is twice the size. This menu has the ingredients on each kind on it.
My favorite is Kilaua Roll...Spicy marinated crab meat, avocado & cream cheese cooked with tempura batter topped with special sauce. Aerial might try some raw ones but I'll stick to that and crunch roll. :rotfl:
Oh I did taste the caterpillar roll before...Cooked Eel and marinated crab meat topped with shrimp, avocado, smelt egg, special sauce & honey mustard. It was okay, but once was enough.:rotfl:

Okay, I'm off my sushi kick. Just let me know if you want to know what's in any others. :rotfl2:

Marcie - the sushi you listed actually sounds like something I would eat. I did like the marinated eel that I tried once but I got tired of it quick!!!

Well Chris is at home right now because he hurt his back. Doctors orders are to stay home for at least 2 days and wrote a note for his employer. He is going to the Chiropractor 2 times a day to try and help him. We have the girls this weekend and they want to go sledding so he won't be able to sled now. My mom's SIL's dad (did you follow that??!!) passed away yesterday and I don't think my cousins are going to go to their grandpa's funeral so they will be sledding with us this weekend!!! We took them another time and they had a blast and want to do it every weekend, so hopefully that will help relieve some of their sadness for awhile. My mom has a close DISer friend that is flying out and staying with them and now I will have my cousins and the girls so we should have a pretty full household, but a very fun weekend a head!!!

Oh those do sound good. I see you guys like the cooked sushi. Jeff will not eat anything but cooked sushi. I will eat both if the chef is good and the fish is fresh. Otherwise I eat cooked here in NC. Our problem is fresh product. We do not have it! lol Now I am going to have to hunt for these. Yummy. I need sushi. I need sushi.

Jeff lived in Gainesville, Florida for a month and a half during the years of the great hurricanes. lol Needless to say we are not somewhat Gator fans. With that being said...

Things that make you go mmmm

Aerial will try uncooked sushi. The problem is, I won't so, she has to promise to eat most of it for me to pay. So tries something new each few times we go. She brought her report card home yesterday with 2 B's & the rest A's and she also got her results from the SAT she took. She scored around 530 in math which was in the 53rd percentile of high schoolers and 480 in writing and 470 in reading (I may be off a bit but very close the paper is at home) Writing was around the 48th percentile and reading was 44th percentile. Anyway, we were telling her how proud we were (after a little laziness I was sure she had 2 C's which she scraped by with B's) So, Dane says to her that sounds like a Sushi reward. :rotfl: :rotfl2: Kids today, that just sounds funny, if I was her age I would never taste it.
