:rotfl: DH is still shoveling the driveway so we can get out. I don't know how much of a "hot" date it will be in our sweatshirts and Sorrels.... We can come home and have a nice fire in the fireplace tonight. That could be fun....;)

Selena, make room. I'm moving. Get that spare room ready!

Jrsy, we did it like you. Had problems with Waste Management so we switched to BFI.

Cristi, shouldn't you be getting ready for your hot date?????

Come on to NC we do have a spare room. Can you paint? It needs a new coat of paint and I really could use new mattress and box springs for that bed in the extra bedroom.

Did you guys hear it is suppose to be in the high 60's in NYC tomorrow? Can you imagine walking in Central Park in January with this kind of temps?

Selena, me paint???? NOPE! We inherited a house Dec of 05 and are in the slow process of painting the whole house. I hate to paint. Hate!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Yahoo, it's a sunny day. A day to melt and another day closer to the trash getting picked up!! :lmao:

I can paint when can I come? :) We tore down wallpaper and repainted the whole house after we moved in. I don't mind the painting I just hate cleaning up and I don't really like taping off things either.

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Yeah!!!!!!! I don't think it is supposed to get very warm, but at least the sun is out. DH was noticing foot prints in our front yard this morning. I am thinking it looks like a fox. I know that the next door neighbor has a fox that likes to hang out in their back yard under all of their pine trees.

We made it out last night and went to Chili's for fajitas and then went to see The Good Shepard. I really enjoyed it, but DH didn't like it as well. It is a very long movie. We got to sleep in this morning. In fact we have only been up for a half hour or so.

When ever you can get a ticket East is fine with me. Just make sure your ticket is to GSO or CLT. lol

15 Injured in Severe Weather in S.C.Third Snowstorm in 3 Weeks Blows Through Hard-Hit Colorado;
By BRENT CAMPBELL
FOX8 News
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) -- It's the first week of January, yet the Piedmont feels more like spring than winter. The warm temperatures have been bad news for businesses that depend on the cold and on gardens throughout the Triad.

Many shops said Friday that rentals and sales are down well below normal because of the warm weather.

At First Flakes Ski Shop in Winston-Salem, owner Steve Hurley said business has been slow, with ski rentals down as much as 40 percent. Ordinarily, he said, "the phone would be ringing off the hook every two or three minutes. So far today, we have only had one customer. By now, we would have normally had 10 to 15."

Hurley also said winter apparel sales are down, commenting that no one wants to buy a jacket when it's 70 degrees outside. Still, he's sure that winter and colder temperatures will arrive soon enough. "It'll come," he said. "Mother Nature balances out in the long run."

But store owners aren't the only ones affected by the unseasonably warm temperatures. Trees, shrubs and flowers throughout the area are beginning to bloom.

Agronomist Jim Jackson said that day after day of warm weather has triggered many plants to come out early. And, with the potential of cold weather still to come, the early buds could result in a lackluster spring.

For those worried about their plants, Jackson recommends not pruning anything that appears to be ahead of schedule. He said it's best to add mulch to flower beds for better insulation.

For gardeners, Jackson has some words of wisdom: "I would recommend we ride it out at this time."

Good advice for gardeners ... and store owners.

MacKenize had a basketball game at 8:30. We had to be there at 8. The bad part was the gym where she was playing is 45 minutes away.

It was a great game. Can you guess they won? lol I told her if she is going to play like that I do not mind getting up my normal time to go to her game.

Well it is off to my son's basketball game now. His game is at 2. We have to be there in 15 minutes. I guess it is a good thing it is not far away.

I hope all of you are safe and warm that live in CO.

My buddies in Texas I hope you guys are chillin.

Marcie how was the sushi?

Lulu we are waiting patiently.

Hey has anyone ever heard of Melaleuca products? I have just started using them and I love them. I think it is helping our allergies too. They are environment safe products.

Selena, I remember us going through a drought a couple of years ago and praying for rain and snow. That time was a struggle and too much is a struggle as well. Good luck to you guys!

Heidi and her dad are off skiing so I just wasted time at the mall. I haven't been out in the real world for a couple of days so I thought I should get out a bit. Had breakfast at Del Taco. Heidi said that it is very cold but the powder is terrific. I can't ski anymore because I had foot surgery on both feet a few years back.

I have never skiied. Although I live within driving distance of the slopes. My mom thought I would hurt myself so she never allowed me to ski or play any sports.

That is too bad Selena. Skiing is fun. We haven't been much since we have had kids though. Jacob has never been. Rachel has been a few times, but she has been a little hesitent since the last time we went she fell off the lift while getting on and the chair hit her in the head. Thank goodness for helmets.

About 14 -15 yrs ago I knew alot of people that were selling those products. It's like Amway. :) Except with Tree Tea oil. :)

That's great if they're helping your allergies.

Ted and I would ski every weekend before the girls were born. Then they started up at about 2 years old and then they pretty much would ski every weekend until a few years ago. Now it is just Ted and Heidi.

Selena, my parents would never allow us to ice skate because we could hurt ourselves.

The sushi was good last night. They had this family sitting close to us though and they complained about EVERYTHING. They were really getting on my nerves. Aerial told me she was going to eat a whole order of California rolls and a 30 second roll all by herself, because she was so hungry. She didn't realize that her stomach had shrunk so much. But she did eat more then half.

Today she starting working on her science fair project. This year they were able to be in pairs so she's paired up with one of her good friends. Today they did the experiment, it's on what will make ice melt the fastest, salt, sugar, aluminum foil, vinegar or water. Next they have to type up all their findings and put them on the board.

I lived 30 minutes from skiing in NY and I never went. DH always says it would be fun to take a ski trip one year.

Tell me you guys are all ok. That you were not near the avalche in Empire. I am watching it on the TV now. Thank God they are all ok. Well as ok as you could be.

I saw it too and instantly thought that Heidi & Ted were skiing. It said it was by a ski place. I hope everyone is okay.

Wow, I just heard about it from you guys. The article I read said that they got everyone out. I am not sure where they ususally go skiing. When we used to go we did like going up to Winter Park, but I always hate driving Berthoud Pass(which is where it sounds like the avalance was). They might be at a bridal show today. I had mentioned to Heidi that they were having one downtown today and she said she was dragging everyone in her family with her to it. :)

That's funny, we are having a bridal show here too and I thought about Heidi when I heard about it on the radio.
