Chris and I have finally slimmed down the date for our wedding. It will be either June 7th, 2008 or August 2nd, 2008 depending on when the school year starts and ends for him.

It's a great city (pop. almost 400,000 now), lots to do and near Ft Worth with just a short drive to Dallas!

Wouldn't it be great if we ALL could meet up for sushi? I can just see us now. I would need more that sake that is for sure! Maybe sometime down the road we could pick a place in the middle and meet up. I know that I would LOVE to meet all of you.....sushi or not. But, I insist on a cranberry/pineappe drink for everyone!

Okay, I shoveled my sidewalk and now my shoulder has a crick in it I have an ice pack on it and DH gets to shovel the driveway (it is HUGE). It is still snowing here, but I am hoping it stops soon. I would like to go to the movies with DH tonight

Oh yeah, speaking of movies, when my brother and fam were here we all went over to the united artist on hampden and I-25 and saw Night at the Museum on the big screen. We really liked it. (DS and step neice went and saw Charlotte's Web).

Cristi, I just got done shoveling as well. My back was killing me and I had a hard time catching my breath this time. I think all of our bodies are just giving out after all this shoveling! Hey, has your trash company picked up this week? I think our mailman is taking advantage and is coming every other day. That is getting a little old.

Our trash company isn't answering their phones and only has a recorded message stating that they will resume picking up trash next week. Since this was a recycling week for us, that means another two weeks worth of recycling on top of the last two weeks. We wouldn't have enough bins, so Tammy took it over to someplace that collects recycling and just dropped it all off.

Luckily, because of a previous problem, Tammy had the direct line to a lady over there who said they are being bombarded with angry phone calls. Well DUH! If we're paying for service, we expect you to show up.

I lived in Jacksonville NC for about 5 months with my good friend from high school. She was in the Marines and pregnant, her husband was gone on a ship so I stayed with her during her last months of pregnancy, I was there when she had her baby and I took care of her for 2 months after she was born when my friend worked. My ex-husband was in boot camp in school at the time in the Army. That is how I ended up living in NY for 3 1/2 years.

Sounds like you have the same company. We are getting the same recorded message. We have BFI. Our DD in Highlands Ranch has the same company. It makes me wonder WHOSE trash that they are actually picking up!!

Brad got mad at BFI last summer and switched us over to Waste Management. They did pick up this week one day later than normal because of the holiday. We noticed that none of the BFI people had their trash picked up this week.

I haven't been doing much shoveling because of my shoulder. I feel bad that DH has to do it all that is why I went out today. He just got home and said he would start the driveway and I said that I could come and help and he told me not to because he didn't want me to hurt my shoulder again. Isn't he sweet.

The snow seems to be getting heavier instead of stopping. We are still planning on taking the kids to their friends house. They live up in Bear Valley so it is a little bit of a drive, but not too bad. I would really like to at least be able to go out to dinner.

It doesn't sound like they are picking up anyone's trash, so I wonder what they are doing. Make sure if you get ahold of someone that they credit you for a week that you paid for, but didn't get service.

Cristi, we switched the other way around but I think it was because WM wanted to raise our rate and BFI was a better price. Our neighbor recommended them and we hadn't had a problem before about a month ago when they never picked up the recycling. This week is the first problem since then.

We found the price pretty close to the same. We hadn't had problems with BFI for the whole time we had been here, but then two or three weeks in a row they were really late picking up and one of the weeks they didn't come until the next day. He got sick of it and quit. That was the same time we were having so many problems with Royal Crest too.

I feel so bad for you guys. I told Heidi today that we have had a very abnormal winter. It has only been cold in the 30's for a few days. We have had several nights that were cold though but we have been in the 50-70 range day time temps for weeks. We have flowers blooming.
