I'm still at work here. It doesn't look like we are going to get off early today. We are getting busy already.

Lulu I've done Palo brunch on both cruises and I loved it. You get to order something off the menu, I ordered eggs benedict, and there is a big buffet and dessert buffet. I really wish I could think of our waiters name on the Wonder in Palo. I can picture his face, I think his name starts with a J. Maybe it will come to me. Okay I'm no help. Sorry I'm braindead after working hard all day.

Marcie, I was wondering where you where. Too bad you don't get off early because your busy season is just around the corner.

Lulu, have a terrific time. We stay at ASMo and I don't have a problem with "thin walls". I can never sleep the first couple of nights anyway anywhere! We have done Palo brunch on all cruises. I do like it very much. In fact, I probably perfer it to dinner other than you don't get the cool lemon drink. Love it that you didn't embarrass the nephews!

Hi everyone. Sounds like you guys got a lot of snow? Or the TV said you were getting pounded. I hope each of you are ok.

Lulu I know you are gone already but I hope you have a great cruise and can not wait to hear about it.

I am lost with what they are talking about too Heidi. lol I guess I will have to check out the threads/webpages Jrsy posted.

It is finally getting a little cooler here. It is all cloudy and we are suppose to get some rain so the temp has dropped a bit due to the cloud coverage.

Mac and I had our toes done. Mine are purple, loo, with snow flakes. I just got a cranberry on my nails.

Does anyone have big plans for NYE? We donot. We are such boring people. lol Seriously though we need to get some new friends. The ones that like to have fun. lol Jeff will probably sleep. I told him a while ago I need my champagne. Not sure if we are going to brave town again.

We have been busy since we have been out of school. We have gone to see Eragon, Open Season and Night at the Museum. I am thinking about going to see Holiday but first I have to check the funds. I think I am broke and do not get paid for 2 more weeks. lol I even spend my Christmas money on the kids. OH well easy come and easy go.

Selena, you need to move here. Heidi needs a friend to party with tonight. Chris, Ted and myself will be sleeping!!! (or until the fireworks start here in the neighborhood) We didn't get as much snow as what they thought. The storm pounded So. Co. I heard that they have 4 FEET of snow.

I got the new game desperate housewives for the pc for christmas so i'll be playing it tonight. Aerial came home from her Dad's yesterday sick. I really think it's strep throat. It hurts her to swallow even water and she's had 101 fever. She's been in bed all day today. While she was in bed Dane and I rearranged all our furniture, our living room looks totally different. A nice change.

I was awake. At the time you posted, I was watching a CSI rerun on Spike while waiting to switch over to the countdown. I didn't realize that at that hour, every commercial break has an advertisement for a "Girls Gone Wild" DVD. Their parents must be so proud.

We watched what might have been Brett Favre's last game and I made California Rolls (which is a NYE tradition). Alex wanted to play the Cars computer game he got for Christmas, but something is wrong with it and it won't work. I have to try to troubleshoot it through the website or else it will have to be exchanged for a new one.

Team spokesman Jim Saccomano said police called him about 3 a.m. from the scene and told him three people had been shot, and the 24-year-old Williams had been killed. The killing came hours after the Broncos were eliminated from the playoff race.

A little after 2 a.m., a white Hummer limousine was fired on from a vehicle that pulled up along its side, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said. There were at least eight bullet holes in the limo.

Three people in the limo were hit and were taken to hospitals, where one man was pronounced dead, Jackson said. The other man and woman who were shot were not identified.

Jackson said police were searching for suspects and interviewing witnesses.

"We have no motive yet," Jackson said. "We're hoping to talk with witnesses to find out where they were coming from, and that might give us some clues."

Saccomano said he spoke with coach Mike Shanahan and others in the organization. Hours earlier, the Broncos lost to San Francisco 26-23 in overtime.

"Complete shock. We're speechless. It takes words away. A terrible tragedy," Saccomano said.

Pro Bowl player Champ Bailey was among the players and team staff members who gathered at Denver Health Medical Center, where Williams' body was taken.

"He had a big heart and a lot of courage," said Cedric Smith, assistant strength and conditioning coach. "It's a tragedy, a complete tragedy. It's sickening."

Williams teamed with Bailey to give Denver one of the top cornerback tandems in the NFL. Williams finished the season with 88 tackles, 78 of them solo, and four interceptions.

Players and coaches are off Monday. They were scheduled to meet Tuesday before heading home for the off-season.

On Sunday against the 49ers, Williams had three tackles and returned two punts for 50 yards before leaving the game with a shoulder injury late in the second half. After the game he said he was planning to wait a few weeks before determining if he needed an operation.

In December, Williams spoke of his desire to return to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, this off-season to talk to kids about staying out of gangs.

Williams, a second-round draft pick out of Oklahoma State in 2005, made an immediate impact on the Broncos. He started nine times in his rookie season following a stellar college career.

You won't believe it but we were wide awake at midnight. We got hooked on a couple of TV shows. We also called one a DISer wish her a happy new year. It was ten here but midnight for her. She was wanting someone to celebrate with her by banging pots and pans. Well, we called her at her midnight banging pots and pans. We woke her up. She was a great sport.

Selena, thanks for posting about our Bronco player. I only heard just a tidbit so now I know more. Isn't it horrible? Not just because he is an athlete but a drive by shooting. Sad.

Selena - ya it is just crazy what happened to Darrent Williams. I am sure it started in the club and the killers stalked him. Crazy and very sad.

Jrsy - Chris and I met when I was down in college. I was a student and he was working for Coke filling the machines. My sister and I always went to school early in the mornings to get homework done and study (read 6am!!!!) and he was in the lounges filling the machines. We got to know each other 2 years just talking at campus before we exchanged numbers.

I want Chris's girls (Jr. bridesmaids) and Joey (my niece, the flower girl) to wear this dress, I absolutely fell in love with:

I think I have slimmed down my choice of color scheme to 2, now I just have to pick one. I like the pearl pink and then a darker pink like magenta...or I want a lilac purple, a darker purple and silver.

We tried to get Aerial into the doctor today but they are over booked so she is going tomorrow morning. She still hasn't eaten more then soup & jello. I am going to go try to get her some baked potato soup at lunch. I just keep preaching to her to keep drinking.

Better get back to work, I just came in from doing an inventory outside and it's 36 degrees.

Heidi you are probably correct. It more than likely started in the night club and they stalked him. So very sad. He was only 24!!

Selena, that is pretty funny. Nope wasn't any of us. It is coming from Lamar. They got hit harder than we did.

I made it til midnight New Year's Eve. The kids wanted to stay up. DH went to bed though. We played Scooby Doo Clue and then watched Dick Clark. Jacob fell asleep about 11:35, but then woke up for the festivities (sparkling apple cider and poppers).

Marcie, I hope Ariel is feeling better!

Heidi, I love that dress for the girls! Keep us updated with all of your plans. Have you set the date yet?

Can't believe I am saying this, but I am ready to go back to work tomorrow.
