I just read another board where a member is on the Marnier the week and a group called the Bears are on the ship with her. It is horrible. I would die if this group or one like it was on one of my cruises.

This group is a group of very wild gay men who own a porn film company. They have closed the solarium so these adults can have privacy. Now I do not care if someone is gay or not. Does not bother me in the least but RCI had to hire extra security for this group. One of the posters said they were filming a movie at the Solarium. Now that is just too much.

UPDATE on my cruise


One of the people who has been ugly to me apologized to me today. He sent me a pm and then I imed him. He asked me to call him and I did. He said he was sorry and he admitted his guilt. He even said he would make sure my family has a good cruise.

This was very wonderful. I can not express how nice it was to hear this. He was one of the leaders of the group and part of the group had been telling him he needed to resolve this with me. I had tried to 4-6 weeks ago and he did not respond.

I really feel good about this. Now I hope nothing bad happens.

Selena - that is great that he apologized to you. I hope he has no other alternative motive. And all I have to say is WOW about the Bears....filming another movie oboard, I would hate to be on that cruise. How could they close down an area of the ship just for them. That would make me feel so uncomfortable.

The pampered chef party went well. It was nice seeing Cristi again and finally meeting Barb face to face.

Things actually went a lot smoother than we had expected. The boys were all really well behaved and only a little bit rambunctuous. We took them to Gunther Toody's for dinner (for you non-Coloradans, it is a 50's style diner) and the staff had Alex get up and do the twist while they sang their birthday song for him. He is such a ham. They all signed a paper hat for him and wrote "I shook my booty at Gunther Toody's" on it.

From there we went to Fat City and we told them they all needed to agree on an activity to do together and that we'd play in the arcade later. They chose The Clubhouse which is the multi-level play area with tons of foam balls and guns and cannons and such to shoot them with all enclosed with netting. They spent an hour in there while Tammy and I sat on a bench outside watching. We learned that Saturday night is apparently Hootchie-Mama night. If you bring your kids over, you have to do your hair & make up, slip into your tightest jeans and top and wear your highest heels.

After The Clubhouse, we spent an hour in the arcade, then headed home. Two of the boys weren't staying over, so Tammy dropped them off. As we were about to go in the house, one of the boys looked like he was going to be sick. Alex got him right into the bathroom. He didn't barf then, but he did later. He tried to tough it out because he had never been invited to a sleep-over before but finally at 11pm he asked us to call his mom. We felt so bad for him, but we promised he would be invited back.

The rest of the boys ate Bagel Bites and Tammy made cookies and they watched movies. It was after midnight when Tammy and I tried to go to sleep and around 2am, Alex came up and said that one of the boys was homesick. Tammy went down and promised she would bore them to sleep with stories of her childhood. She stayed down for about half-an-hour then came up but it sounded like they were awake for another couple of hours.

Sunday morning we had to get them up at 9:30 for breakfast because we'd promised to have them home by 10:30. I have a feeling they were probably all as grouchy and surly and tired as Alex, Tammy and I were all day yesterday.

Overall: good kids with good manners but I wouldn't do it again any time soon.

Jrsy- Loved your story of Alex's birthday party. How old are the boys? Sounds like it went really well. I thought girls were the only ones to get homesick. Fat City sounds really fun. We don't have one here in the Springs. Wish we did!

Cristi-It was fun meeting you on Saturday. I had a great time at the party. Heidi and Stacey are so cute!

I am not sure if he apologized for any other reasons but a lot of that group are still my friends and have been telling him he was wrong and needed to apologize. I am keeping a positive attitude that he is sincere. I normally have the attitude of the glass being half full all the time anyway.

Jrsy it does sound like Alex's party went well.

Marcie, MacKenzie was to get a cell phone for Christmas but due to her reactivating her My Space account without our permission we told her she can kiss the cell phone goodbye. We just felt we could not trust her. She has been much better but she still does not have her computer priviledges back and we will not give them back until after cruise. Then it will come with strict rules.

I have a nasty cold and feel lousy. But heck I am at work toughing it out. I can not wait to get home and put my jammies on.

We took them to Gunther Toody's for dinner

Now why do parents do this to their poor kids. My parent's took us there for our "sweet sixteen" and my sister and I were so embarassed. This guy kissed us and said sweet sixteen and never been kissed...ha ha ha!!!! My ex-boyfriend use to work there in high school so I ate there A LOT and can't go back because I got so sick of their food. I bet I could eat there now though...hmm maybe I should go for a shake and fries with gravy!!!! Jrsy - you were right across the street from my mom's house....did you at least wave to us?

Everytime I go there it seems like that!!! I take my cousins bowling there or we take the girls there to go skating and then to the arcade..it has definitely changed since when I use to hang out there.

Selena - that is a bummer that you aren't feeling well. I tell you, go buy some Co Q10, (100mg) I guess that is supose to be a miracle supplement to build up your immune system. Everybody at work is on that kick and it took away someone's cough that they had for 3 months (the supplement worked in about a week for her). Everyone is obsessed about that right now. Chris has been continously sick since vacation so he stopped by the store today to get it, we will see if it works for him. I hope you feel better. No getting sick on your cruise or before your cruise.

Jrsy, Cristi and I were wondering on Saturday how you guys were doing. Doesn't sound like it was too bad. You were right across the street from us. Gosh, you could have bought us dinner.

Selena, while I am glad that he apologized I just hope you don't let your guard down. With my past experience, I did it and it slapped me in the face. My guy NEVER apologized to me but he did my friend AND he treated us the same. I never could figure that one out. Is Cosmo all packed and ready to go?

No, didn't wear me out. Yesterday we had the girl scout 5K at Wash Park. It was great weather and we had a good time. Didn't get home until close to 2 though. Then I basically watched the football game and got caught up on a couple of phone calls.

I honestly didn't go to the party with the intention of booking a party (or even buying very much). I just saw all sorts of cool things that I wanted that cost quite a bit so I wanted to get some free hostess stuff.

I went to the doctor on Friday afternoon and he sent me to the hospital for blood work. He is also setting me up for a cat scan of my abdomen. He says it definitely sounds like I'm having a pancreatitis flare up. I am just lucky though, I've never had it to wear I have to go to the emergency room. But he is definitely taking it seriously. I've been trying to eat good and take my medicine every time I eat. Oh and he told me not to take motrin anymore when I told him I was taking 3 for the pain. He prescribed some pain pills but I doubt I take them unless I'm really hurting. I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks for the results.

Saturday we went to Baton Rouge where my DH traded in his car for a new one. I've been thinking about getting a new car too, just trying to save a little money first. Maybe in another month or two.

Since we were in Lousianna, where my Mom lives we stopped over there on the way home and heard about her cruise. They had a lot of fun but she said the ship was so rough on Monday & Tuesday they cancelled the shows for the night. It was nice to see her again. Then I talked to her on the phone on Sunday too. So, maybe we will get along now. I've talked to my cousin a few times too. She's been catching me up on everyone. I haven't talked to anyone on that side of my family in over a year so it was nice hearing about everyone.

My cousin, and my Mom want us all to do a cruise next year out of galveston. It will be some more of my cousins too and some of my Mom's friends. Hopefully that will work out. That's one reason why I want to wait a month or two to buy my car so I can have the down payment for the cruise. I am so happy to maybe plan that since no more disney until we move. I can't afford it when I have to move in 1 1/2 years.

Selena, I hope you feel better soon.

I'm going to drink my hot chocolate in my Disney World tinkerbell mug and then go to bed. Night all.

Jrsy, it looks like you survived Fat City! How many boys did you end up having spend the night?

We started the night with 7 boys including Alex at Gunther Toody's and Fat City. Two went home after Fat City, then the one got sick, so including Alex, we ended up having only 4 stay over. It just sounded like a lot more.

The boy who got sick, his mom called last night and they thought it might have been mild food poisoning from his lunch.

My tree is decorated with Disney ornaments and ornaments that light up. The ones that light up are actually a bulb with something in the middle and you attach it to the lights that are strung up on the trees. They range from Santa Clauses, snowmen, etc. I love snowflake decorations but do not have any yet. I have a ton of winnine the pooh and friends ornaments. Chris works for Coke so I like to get some Coca-cola ornaments and he loves Harley Davidson's so I also try and get some motorcucle ornaments. We don't have many for Chris, but we are trying to get more for him!!!

Perfect Heidi. Let's say the ornaments have to be SHIPPED by Nov. 27th and we will open them on Monday Dec. 11th. When you open them you have to post what you got. Remember, it is a Secret Santa so if you don't want your person to find out YOUR postmark just use my return address. If any come back to me I will see to it that it is mailed again. Also, the price limit will be between ten and fifteen dollars. It is a great idea to tell everyone your likes.

Of course everyone knows that I like Jiminy. Mickey Mouse is close behind. I do like all Disney decorations whether it is Mickey or Jiminy. I love snowmen and moose. I like the saying Jesus is the reason for the season and am looking for an ornament like that. I have a few tropical decorations from various friends that know I like to cruise. Hmmm, that's about it.

Marcie, I honestly got the goosebumps when I read your post. I am so happy that your family is coming together and talking. My next prayer for you is that you start feeling better!
