Good luck to E and Mac. I remember when my girls got their braces on. It was fun for awhile!!

Getting ready for a big snowstorm to hit. They say 10-20 inches.

Poor E and Mac. I hated my braces!!!! They hurt and scratch up your mouth!!

Marcie - what a great christmas break/vacation for you. Your boss is awesome.

Well I think I may be crazy. I am at work and all they keep talking about is today and tomorrow will be the Blizzard of 2006. It is blowing snow and we are supose to get up to 2 feet today. What was I thinking coming in to work today? They already closed are school district for today and another federal agency....but of course they didn't close ours yet!!!!! Wonder if I will be stuck at work for this blizzard!! I want to go skiing!!!!

I stayed at work for an hour and then they closed down the Fed Center!!! I am now back at home safe, hoping Chris gets home soon (probably in about 2 hours.) I hope my dad or Rich (my BIL) didn't have to go in either. The roads are icy and the wind is horrible. Chris is in a van with rear wheel drive so he is sliding everywhere, I can't stop worrying about him on those roads!!!!

Cristi and Jrsy - if you have to go out today please be very careful!!!!!

I hope all of you and your family's make it home safe. :grouphug:

I am at work and there aren't too many people who aren't here. The walk to the light rail was cold, but the ride in was warm and smooth. We are under a Blizzard Warning until tomorrow. Today was supposed to be Alex's last day before winter break, but all of the school districts are closed so his vacation is starting a day early.

ETA: leaving at 12:30. We got the OK to leave around 9am but to try to bring work home with us. I figured since the light rail is still running, I'd work in the office for a while. Don't want to push my luck, though, and get stranded until tomorrow.

Are all of my Colorado buddies home safe and sound? I just made it home a little bit ago. It took over an hour. I could hardly see anything. I made it all the way to my driveway and then got stuck. :(

Oh my goodness. I feel bad with my last post. I meant to say that it WASN'T fun for the girls when they got their braces. I truly feel bad for E and Mac.

This CO family is home safe and sound. We won't be going anywhere for awhile. So we have Heidi and Chris home. Cristi home. Brad?? Jrsy and wife??? Ted is out snowblowing the neighbors driveway. The wife just got back from work and got stuck. Her DH is still gone.

:rotfl:

murry xmas everyone!

Oh I hope all of you guys out there are safe and sound. Wow that snow would be fun for a while. Like a few days. It is still unbeleivable warm here. It has been in the 60's-70's but at nights it is dropping into the 30's.

Woo Hoo I am off unitl next year. I need my break. lol

Glad to know everyone made it home safely. I am guessing Tammy and Brad also made it home safe. I doubt I will have to go to work tomorrow either...the snow drifts are horrible. Chris and I took a walk outside and had a lot of fun. He helped some neighbors push some cars out from being stuck. I love when it snows like this when I know everyone I love is safe at home!!

I'm glad all the snowbound made it home okay. I am off of work now until next Wed. and I got my Christmas bonus today!!!! Good thing, I gotta pay the credit card I used to Christmas shop. :rotfl: We have our Christmas party tomorrow night. I have a facial and a hair appt. scheduled tomorrow. I got my computer hooked to the cable today and I watched King of Queens on my PC and scheduled Grey's anatomy to tape every week. Right now I am listening to the radio right here on my PC. This is really cool. Just kinda hard to watch TV fullscreen while on the net. I need 2 monitors. :happytv: :surfweb: hehe

You'll see; it is coming your way next!

I made it home safely; the light rail was just a bit off schedule. Tammy and Alex didn't have to go anywhere yesterday so they were already home safe and warm.

Right now, though...I am at work! I figured as long as the light rail was running, I'd give it a shot and here I am! I have only seen two other people on our floor so far. One of them is our regional manager who is in town from Phoenix and now won't be going back until Sunday because of all the flight cancellations. His hotel is right next door, so at least he had someplace to stay and a short commute.

Are you sure it is still running? :confused3 I woke up this morning at 7:00am and the news said the lightrail is closed because of the snow drifts at the stations. You are one dedicated employee. :thumbsup2

Marcie - your computer sounds so cool!!!! Dane did a great job picking it out. Have fun at your Christmas party.

I just looked out the window (8:20am) and watched a train pull into the station. At the station I leave from, the steps had about 3ft. of snow drift over them except the one narrow path along one side that us dedicated employees had forged.

I just had this feeling that if the light rail was running, I should at least try to come in. Having the regional manager see how dedicated I am can't hurt, either.

Wow, Jrsy you are dedicated. I was off today anyway, but there is no way we can make it out of the cul de sac. DH's office closed for today. He just got done doing a little more shoveling. DD went out back and scooped a path for Max, our dog. He is a big dog, but he didn't want to get out into the snow. It probably would be over his head in some spots. He did go out while she was out there and run around a little bit though. It was pretty funny. :)

No snow, no snow, no snow - must fly to FL - must cruise - need vacation!
;)

I love work when no one's around. ;)

Here are some snow pictures from my yard. The one with the things that look like rings are candy canes along my front porch, you can see my neighbors car buried across the street. The other two are in my backyard.

Hi guys,

Not only did we have to dig out ONE house but had to run up to Arvada to do a second one. Thanks to  Heidi and Chris we got that one done as well. Ted and I have been shoveling since 8 am today and stopped around 3pm. We didn't eat breakfast but stopped long enough for a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. We just got back from taking Heidi and Chris out for dinner. We found 2 restaurants open.....thankfully. None of us felt like cooking that is for sure.

Cristi, loved your pictures. I took some too. I will have to download them to the computer for Heidi to post.

Rob, S-N-O-W is a four letter word around here!! :rotfl2:

Marcie, :thumbsup2 you are really getting the feel for that computer. So when are you coming to visit me and help me????? lol

Jrsy, I can't imagine being that dedicated. You deserve a bonus for this one! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Sandy, we couldn't get out of our street yesterday (at least with our cars). Brad was shoveling most of the day. I didn't actually help at all though. I didn't want to hurt my shoulder again and I am also fighting a cold off. He went out and helped two different neighbors do their driveways and then they came over and helped do ours. I think we will be able to get out today. Brad needs to go to Ace or Lowe's and get a part for the kitchen faucet. He was trying to fix it on Wed and now it leaks like crazy. So, it has been fun without one the past two days. :)

Cristi - loved the pictures!!!!!

I am still at home. I decided since I only went to work once this week that I would take today off too...my back hurts from shoveling so I need to give it some TLC. Chris is back home from work too. He only had a few stores that were open today, but were closed yesterday so they didn't sell any products!!! I have to take leave, but he gets paid 8 hours for only working 1 1/2 hours...lucky dog.
