I think he got the talent that neither of us have. I have passable drawing skills, but didn't have what he has when I was his age. He's just got a perspective that neither of us do.

Jrsy how old is he again? This is excellent work. Is he interested in Art? Does he take private lessons? My mother noticed my interest when I was in grade school. She signed me up for private lessons and while I never used it later in life I love Art and everything about it.

Jrsy - He did a good job drawing you, and that was a few years ago??!!! He is only going to get better. You can really tell that he must be a very detailed oriented little boy.

Selena - ya I was talking about your martini!!!! But it does make sense to use the creme de cocoa, but I don't think it would be as good as Godiva!!!!

I finally sucked it up and scheduled to get my legs waxed and a bikini wax. Has anyone done this before? I can't even imagine the pain but I am doing it before I go to Vegas and before I go to Florida.

Heidi, I've been debating getting a bikini wax too but I asked my friend about it and she told me about this cream that is rash free. So, I bought some and it really works. Now I don't have to go through the pain, but I do still have to shave everyday or two with it. Waxing you wouldn't have to. If you want to know the name of the cream I'll PM you.

And speaking of payday I have a story for ya. Our company uses a payroll company, and we get direct deposit. We were supposed to have our money in our banks last Friday just like any normal payroll. Well it never showed up. Our office manager called them, come to find out, some company had scammed them for a lot of money and they changed the rules on depositing money and didn't bother to tell the companies they pay. Well, I STILL do not have my paycheck, they said we would have them by midnight last night. Hopefully I will get it sometime today. We are going on 5 days late and some people have bounced checks. We also have one employee on vacation in London and one on vacation in Tennessee. I'm sure they want their money.

4 people have gotten docs so far but I don't have mine yet.

Docs, paycheck, could be a good day if I get those 2 things today.

Wow Marcie, that sucks about pay day. I would be fuming mad..we really aren't supose to get paid until Friday but with direct deposit it always gets deposited on Tuesday!!!! Please pm me the name of the cream. Thanks

Yes, I'm really starting to get mad now. But, our receptionist just called her bank and they said she would have it by 9:30 so maybe I will too. This was the week I would have been on vacation too. Good thing I rescheduled.

Yes I had my bikini area waxed once. It did not hurt me that badly but I would never do it again. As you know I am very fair and do NOT tan. I was bruised terribly by it. So having that area waxed for me turned out to be worse that it was before. I had an excuse to go buy new granny bathing suits though. lol

I am not sure about the difference Heidi in the liquior. I am not familiar with the other one. I only know about Godiva. Actually we bought the first Godiva several years ago and could not figure out how to mix the Martinis so we gave up. We had that bottle probably longer than we should have before we tired it again and got it right. I would think if you have never made one at home and are not use to it ... it would not matter. What I plan on doing next time around is buying the Mixer for the Chocolate Martinis. I am sure I will be trying it when I go to NY in a week.

Ok guys listen about waxing...This has been in the news around here alot lately.

Waxing can give you VD!! Yup sure enough. Hot wax does not get hot enough to kill batericas. If your person does not pour out the wax from your usage or someone elses usage this can spread diseases. If you notice that the person is redipping a swab or what she/he uses to get the wax out this is unsafe.

I have a friend who has some type of little machine things she bought that rolls on the wax and she uses it to wax herself. Matter of a fact she was telling people at the spa about it and the Spa ordered one! You might want to check into this ladies.

Another thing you can use is Magic Powder. A bunch on the other board swear by this stuff. It comes in a can and also a premade cream. It is actually a product black men use on their faces to rid them of hair. On the can I bought it says it will help keep down the bumps that occur on black mens faces. A lot of peope from my other board loves this stuff. I have not gotten brave enough to use my can. lol They say it stinks very badly but it works great! You can find it in the shaving products. The can I bought is not the premade stuff. I did not know about it when I bought my can. My can is about the size of a Comet can and looks similar but not the similar in colors. It is very cheap., $1.38 at Walmart. Thought I would pass that along.

Marcie I hope you got a paycheck. I hate this is happening to you so close to your cruise!

Right before the end of school the county I work for decided to change my paydays. They did this last year too. Last year in August instead of a whole paycheck I got a half and then another half in June. Never had a paycheck in June before and so it worked great!! I loved that. I am only a 10 month employee so I only get paid for 10 months of work. Meaning I only get 10 paychecks not 12. So no pay for me in the summer months. Any way in May they annoucned that they were changing it again. Now we will not get our first paycheck until September. No August paycheck at all! Well you know I had not planned on missing that much money. I had planned on getting a half of paycheck. I thought it was pretty bad to wait that late in the year to tell everyone that is classifed. I am lucky I am able to get by with it this year, barely though. Instead of all the fun activities we normally do and the extra vacation with the kids we did not get to do any of this. Makes for a bad summer for the kids. We had already bought our airline tickets for the Keys and also mine for NY otherwise we would have cancelled those so the kids would not have had to suffer. As it stands we have been able to do a few things with them but their only real vacation now is November.

He will be 10 in October. He doesn't take private lessons, but we put him in every art class we can - after school, cartooning class and he even did a week of art camp earlier this summer, which he loved. The portrait of me was done about a month after he turned 8. We knew he had a gift when, at about age 4, he drew a picture of a "handy dandy notebook" from Blue's Clues that was really good. I can probably credit Blue's Clues for developing his artistic skills, too, since they are always drawing the clues and explaining how to draw them as they do.

You should use the stuff I bought, it's great. About $12 a bottle but I will never use anything else now.

Thanks for the warning Selena. I will pay special attention to this even though now I am extremely worried and paranoid. I guess I will ask some questions when I get there BEFORE the waxing begins.

Jrsy, Blues Clues has to be the reason Alex got interested in drawing. My nephew started with it as well but his interest turned to sports later. I hope Alex continues. I can see a bright future for him!

Jrsy I use to love to watch Blues Clues when the kids were young. I have always enjoyed art. I just wish I would have been better at it. I took privates lessons for a while and made sure I was in every Art class available later in school. I even took a few art classes in college.

My son likes to draw too. He is pretty good. Most people do not believe he drew some of his stuff. Especially kids his own age in school. I am not saying he is as good as Alex. lol but he has had his pictures displayed at a few art exhibits a few times due to is Art teacher putting them there.

One more note Jrsy...you do know most Artist are extremely intelligent people right?
