Craigslist question

I've dabbled in Craigslist with no problem, but not a lot. My older son is trying to sell his motorcyle and says that it keeps being taken off Craigslist as fraudulent. I know his motorcycle really exists. What's the problem? He says he is not making outrageous claims and is asking a reasonable price. He read to me what he's posting,and it sounds OK. What would make this happen?

Would he want to keep reposting it and see if/when whoever is taking it down emails him with a reason?

He says he's posted it 4 times. I guess he could just keep reposting as you said.

He was so frustrated - he said to me, "It's not like I can call up Craigslist and ask them why!" And he said he's been emailing and no one replies.

That happens to us. But craigslist has then been banning the email address. No notice about why. Wish they would send notice.

If you posted the exact wording he's been using, someone might be able to make an educated guess as to why it gets taken down. Otherwise, we have no frame of reference.

And if he's including pictures, are they his pictures of his bike? Or are they the manufactuerer's or dealer's pictures, or professional photographs? That may be the problem.

OP here - didn't want to leave everyone hanging!

My husband told me this morning that our son thought he had his bike sold - not sure if it was word-of-mouth or if he got his Craigslist problem worked out.

I haven't spoken to him since my original post and so I don't know what pics he was posting, except his motorcycle was not stock so I don't think he could have posted anything but pics of his own bike.
