Craigslist question? Getting money before they put item in car

I have someone interested in a child's bookshelf, a little tykes type and they might have to take it apart to fit it in their car. Do you think they will give me the money first before I allow them to take it apart? I'm afraid they might break it and then I won't get paid....it's hard plastic so I doubt it would break but just in case, I'm wondering how I should mention it

I would say, "I'll be happy to help you take it apart if you are 100%." If they say yes, then say, ok, it is $20. Then you start taking it apart. They will get the hint and give you the money.

Simply ask -"are you buying it? great - that's $20. Here you go. (physically pass it over or keep your hand on it until they pay you). "Enjoy"

and then walk away...

I've never had anyone show up that did not purchase the item. I put pictures in all my ads, so hopefully there are no surprises.
