Craigslist help: a question

I just made my first attempt at posting something on Craigslist to advertise a garage sale. I confirmed the posting via email but I can't see my listing when I look up garage sales in my city.

Do I have to create an account? It seemed to allow me to post without creating an account but maybe that was my mistake?

I didn't know if maybe it took a while to post or if I messed up!

I would appreciate any help you could give me!

Sometimes it can take up to 45 minutes for the ad to actually show up under the search option. If it's not there in a couple of hours you might want to make sure you posted it in the right section.
