Craigs List

Would you or have you bought furniture listed on Craigs List? I've been looking at a sectional for our family room and they are so expensive. I found one listed on Craigs List (with pictures) and it is priced great and just want what I've been looking for...except it used.

What do you think?

I bought a double bed, box springs and frame, less than 2 years old for $50 on Craigslist. I sold my washer and dryer a couple months ago on it. Go for it but be sure you don't go to the sellers house alone! You just never know.

i sell on craigs all the time!! we recently sold a huge office desk, couch and a bunch of other misc. furniture! like the above poster said don't go alone (i don't do pick ups without DH home unless it's all in the garage already.)

go for it!! if anything just say you would like to come look at it, i've had a bunch of people come and just look through my childrens clothes and pick what they wanted even after the pics were posted have fu and save that $$$

We just bought a desk for younger dd on Craig's list from a high school student. We got a nice wood desk for a decent price. If we bought new we would have to have bought something cheap...we looked, trust me.

We also sold our fish tank on there.

I would, but like other have said I would make sure DH goes with you. SIL buys and sells concert tickets on there and meets the people in a public place to "make the exchange".

Buying a used couch I would check under the cushions....might be enough money to send you to DW!!
