Craig's List comment

I want to list a few things but I am scared too!! I have some of DS's things that I just want to get rid of . It's not worth it to me to save them for the next child I'd rather the room.

I have a Rainforest Jumperoo that has gotten a lot of use. I'd love to get rid of that for around $30 and I have a Rainforest swing that he used MAYBE 5 times. I don't think I have the box anymore. It's selling for $91 at walmart .. I'd love to get $60-75 for it. Too much?

I'd offer the swing at $30-$40. I would never pay more than half of new retail price for an item like that on CL.

What's even "better" are the childcare posts asking for an "older" (21+) babysitter who speaks English to take care of her 3 angels (ages 1 and 3). Oh yea, it's a single mother and she can't pay more than $5 an hour for a 40+ hour work week!

LOL. I have a friend who decided she has to have a nanny because she can't deal with cooking, cleaning and taking care of the kids. So she wanted to find someone that would take her oldest to school and stay with the youngest all day and clean the house and cook dinner. Now my friend is a single mom like me, but I know she makes less than $20 an hour. I had an idea she wouldn't be able to pay much. So she told me how much she was willing to pay, and it came out to be less than $5 an hour, plus she wasn't going to reimburse for gas or provide a car. She placed an ad and couldn't believe no one was taking her up on her "generous" offer. I think some people are just oblivious. They want to pay a wage that they wouldn't work for themselves.
