I loved their new Dis Unplugged video, they saw lots of animals at their AKL stay. A few questions:

1) Is animal viewing at the DVC area of the resort typically just as good as at the non-DVC area of the resort where Craig and Kylie stayed?

2) We're considering eventually buying resale DVC at HH (our favorite vacation destination), and would probably go to HH every other year, and perhaps WDW on several of the alternate years. Is DVC at AK typically a reservation I can get at the 7-month window?

3) We may occasionally be an extended family party of 12 (4 families with kids sprinkled in), is there a configuration of villas and/or studios, that should be still be available at AKL at the 7-month window, usually in June? What about other DVC resorts at 7 months for a large party?

Thanks, check out the video, I'll be watching it several times.

I'm no expert but I own at Kidani and will answer best I can. Hopefully someone else will chime in, add or correct me on the below.

1. Not always. The animals are free to roam at both hotels and it depends on what animals are around and where for you to view. I've had great animal views and not so great at both Kidani & Jambo no matter standard or DVC.

2. AK has a large inventory but it's never guaranteed at 7 months. Even as an owner, sometimes at 7 months, it's hard depending on time of year and accomodation needed.

3. A grand villa should sleep up to 12. AKL, TreeHouse Villas, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs I believe are the only resorts that can sleep 12. Inventory is limited at all resorts for this type of accommodation.
June can be a popular month depending on when in June. Later in the month, all schools through the US are out so summer vacation starts and rooms fill up.
