Craftsman Grill no Longer Accepting Reservations?

Just tried to book an ADR at Craftsman today, and the bar/TS side is no longer showing up for reservations. The QS side is still visible, but not the table service. I turned around and tried about a half-dozen other days, including some mid-week pretty far out and nothing. I will be bummed if that is the case.

That place confounds me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at reservations there, only to be shut out. Conversely, it seems like every time I’m there or walk by, it’s never more than half full. Usually just end up going into the QS since it’s the exact same food, and the reservations really only get you a nicer table closer to the pool (which is certainly a plus).

Its hard to get a reservation because they hold back a lot of spaces for walk ins, but then usually no one walks in because everyone thinks you need a reservation. Taking away ADRs seems to be a good move. It is the kind of place that should always be full.

I wouldn't say it was hard in general to get a reservation, unless you were shooting for a Saturday or Sunday at lunch, or possibly a holiday. It's my favorite place to grab a quick meal if I'm down at the resort. I've walked up without a reservation and have been told I needed one (with empty tables), so the policy is all over the map.

There was also a short time there when there was a security CM posted at the gate next to Tenaya Stone and you couldn't even walk to the quick serve side of Craftsman without a room key, or a spa or table service reservation.

Yeah, they restrict access to hotel guests only during very busy times.
