Craft Shops

DW is into her crafts BIGTIME. Are there any decent (cheap to me ) craft shops in the WDW area. We have a car (not that I want to fill it ) so travelling is not too much of an issue.

Jo Annes on 192 by the Target superstore is a great place as is Michaels which is in the same plaza as Sweet Tomatoes on I drive

Richard if your wife goes to Michael's I think that you may need to take an extra suitcase to put all the craft stuff in that she will be buying!!

I've never been to Micheal's in Orlando, but when I lived in CA I used to spend a lot of time and $'s in the Michael's stores there. Now I have to wait till we visit my in-laws!

If you staying in the I drive area, you can take the I-ride trolley to the Michael's that everyone is talking about. It is also not too far from the Prime (Old Belz) outlets.

is michaels a big store?i am into scrapbooking and i didn't manage to find anything on my last trip apart from the one in DTD

Michael's is ENORMOUS, I really struggled not to fill a suitcase with scrapping stuff in that store alone! There's a great indpendant place in that shopping plaza by the Mall of Millennia (Shoppes of Millennia.) It's at Conroy Rd and Millennia - looks small from the outside but carries loads of cool stuff!

wal mart has a good section not too big but good value think dw prefers to get her cutters from there.there are some good craft round altamore springs areas but not worth just a drive

I am rubbish with directions if you search on the joanns website, it should pop up there was a large Target in the same development.

think there is a new joanns on 192 heading to wallmart if you ar going from disney turn right at crossroads head staight down the road you will pass a new wallmart on right when you hit the 192 turn left and on left is supertarget and a joanns.Also just before traffic lights is smokey bones a good place to eat

Yes there are lots of craft shops in WDW area you just have to find them.
