CR Tower is not available. So Poly vs GF?

There is nothing available in the CR Tower (my 1st choice with my children) for the time we will be there. So, if you had to choose between the Poly (probably GV) and GF (definitely GV), which would you choose? We honeymooned at the Poly 10 years ago and loved it.

Big concerns are getting around the resort. Can you get to the main buildings at Poly and GF without walking outside? We will be using strollers (2 of my children have difficulty walking). Also need non-smoking, close to transportation/amenities, and not very noisy.

Suggestions please on buildings and room locations! We are currently booked at WL, but I just can't shake the feeling I should stay at a monorail hotel for convenience with my children.

We have three small children and we LOVE the GF! FIrst of all - all the kids activities are there! When you take the monorail in the AM you are the first stop at MK, on the way back take the ferry and you're the first stop again! The best location for a garden view room, IMHO is Sago Cay, marina view. It's almost like a lagoon view for the price of a garden view. One time we even had a view of Space Mountain from our balcony. Sago Cay is really close to Gasparillas for fast food and filling up your mug - there are also tables and chairs in front of Gasparillas that have a direct view of the castle. Its a fabulous place to watch the fireworks when you don't want to battle MK crowds with tired kids. My kids always liked to get a mickey bar from Gasparillas and watch the fireworks from there. It is so relaxing at the GF, you'll need it after spending time in the parks with the little ones. Rooms are great also.

GF does sound nice if you can afford it. Have you considered a CR garden wing room? The North Wing has a covered walkway to the main building, and it is a very short walk. There's also a seperate door that leads to the food court and it's only a few steps from the North Wing. We just stayed there on a ground floor. Both our kids were in strollers, and we loved not having to mess with an elevator. It's also so easy to just stroll on over to the park on the MK walkway--only a 10 minute walk.
