Hey Everyone...

We arrive at the CR on Nov 29th and check out on Dec. 8th.:cool1: We have a tower bay view room reserved. I know there are tons of advice for rooms facing the MK...but how about any for the Bay Lake. There weren't any MK views available when I booked....so any suggestions? I thought about not requesting anything and leaving it to the Pixie Dust...and maybe a Wish might happen. Not quite sure what to do...my kids are just so thrilled to be staying there that I know no room there would really bother them at all. This is their 2nd trip to WDW and the 1st we stayed off property at a resort with my family. They are exicited and a little sad since my dad went with us last time and he recently passed away....so it's a little bittersweet. But I know once they get there....they will be just fine.

Like to hear what you would do in my situation....thanks!!!!:goodvibes

Go in with the attitude that Bay Lake is an OK consolation (there are those that prefer it). There are many of us that highly value MK vew.

I say call every morning to see if one opens up due to cancellations. If one does not open up sooner, your best bets are near the cancellation window (4-5 days) + at worst case, it never hurts to ask once you get there.

Oh I am happy....happy to be able to stay there. The quesiton I kind of had was...were there any "bad" rooms on the Bay Side. Are there better bay side rooms then others? My debate was whether or not to request a room on Bay Side.....or do I even need to? and leave well enough alone and leave it in the hands of Pixie Dust.

So if anyone knows of any "bad" rooms per say on the Bay side...or any suggestions...I'd be happy to hear them.

Thanks again!!!:goodvibes

loved the bay side!!!

our rooms was slightly bigger on the bay side than the MK side.

High up - probably since the construction is on the far end - although no reports of anyone having a noise problem with it. - I would go with something close to the elevators.

you can look out on a beautiful lake - and at night see the EWP (okay this is noisey and might wake you up) below you.

plus you may be able to see the fireworks from Epcot - you can definitely see the Dolphin and Swan.

My family and I have stayed on the Bay Lake side of the Tower just one time which was a few years ago and we found nothing wrong with it. While it may not be the Magic Kingdom view looking outside was very nice and in the distance we were able to see Illuminations from Epcot.

We have only stayed (one time) on the MK side. But agree the bay side is not a bad side. Looks very peaceful. I can imagine waking up, sipping coffee or tea on the deck, watching over the lake. :wizard:

Thanks everyone!:goodvibes

Rooms slightly bigger? You made my day...since we are 5 and a baby:scared1: in the room....lol. Thanks for helping me decide...leaving well enough alone. I'm not going to make any requests and see what happens. You all just confirmed what I thought about the bay side. Thanks again!

You are at the CR:cheer2:
You are in the Tower:jumping1:

You are at WDWparty:

Leave the rest to pixie dust:wizard: When we were there in January, we booked a wing room and we soooo excited to get a tower. We didn't care what the view was, we were in the tower!!! Enjoy and good luckpixiedust:

Just a quick question....how much bigger are the lake view rooms? Just curious...and happy to hear they are bigger. Thanks!!!!

All/most standard rooms at CR, tower, MK, or bay lake are the same size and layout. They are huge by the way. (I said most because there may be handicapped rooms that have different layouts)

OK - I now see that a previous poster indicated that bay side rooms are larger. This is unbeknownst to us but I guess it is possible....
