We've never stayed at WL (though our in-laws stayed there on a trip with us once while we stayed at CR) but I can say that either Poly or CR would be good.
We stayed at Poly in 2003 with 2 children ages 3 and 11 months. It was nice to catch the monorail everywhere. Plus, we got a great rate and a room with a lagoon view where we saw the castle every morning. DS age 4 still talks about those mornings when we looked out before sunrise and watched the castle change colors.
I think if we go back again, especially with young kids, because we spend so much time at the MK I'd stay at the CR again. I love the fact that when the crowds are bad in the evening, you can walk back to your hotel instead of having to catch a ride on the monorail, especially with the strollers.
