CR or POFQ/POR

I am a new member, but I love all the help you have already given me by reading the posts. I hope you can help me.

DH, DS and I will be in WDW in June 05. We are considering CR (DS loves trains) or POFQ/POR. Where do you suggest we stay?

I like the convenience of CR (not to meantion the monorail), but would enjoy the peacefulness of POFQ/POR.

What are your thoughts? Thanks for your help

CR with the monorail is wonderful and so close to MK! I found it peaceful too. I've been to POFQ---it is nice and peaceful as well. But you can't compare the transportation to MK, because it is just not as close. Take a look and see where you may be spending most of your time. If it is MK and you can afford CR tower, consider it. If you'll spend alot of time in Epcot, then maybe try the other. Good luck in your choice.

Hey, KYmommy.

My son loves trains also; to him the monorail was just as much fun as the parks. The CR seemed a little stale to us and definitely more hectic. We stayed at the WL for the main reason it was cheaper. Wilderness Lodge was much more peaceful. My son and I would hop on the boat and take the quick ride to CR just to ride the train each day. The money we saved allowed us to buy him a monorail train set. He loved it. Good luck with your planning.

The themeing at both POR and POFQ is much better (IMHO) than at the CR. However, the location of the CR is hard to pass up if money is not an issue. It is nice to be so close to the MK.
