CR - GameVance download

I got an e-mail from CR about 100 points for downloading GameVance onto my computer. Has anyone done this offer and received credit for it?

Please be careful with this. It is the new version of the Arcade Rockstar, which was known for having adware and overwriting your cookies.

I tend to stay away from any type of download or toolbar. Even the mousebar someone posted in the trip planning strategies board was loaded with spyware and adware. It is so not worth having to try and clean your computer after these stupid downloads.

Not knowing any better I installed this program and it filled my computer up with so much spyware and adware that I would get 20-30 popups in the space of a few minutes that I couldn't use the internet!! I spent a full day with a geek online--I found an awesome site that was related to Spyware Blaster that had help with these kinds of problems. And I finally was able to uninstall the program and all the embedded popups.
Stay away from Game Vance!!

As a rule I NEVER do any offer that requires a download of any kind onto my system! It is just way to risky imo. As it is whenever I print out a coupon from one of the 'reputable' coupon sites, my adware/spyware always detects something that needs to be removed!
