CR experts...please advise. Tower or wing?

Well, here is the situation. We have a trip planned for this May and are staying at the SOG. Now my DH is telling me that he wants to stay at the CR. He really likes to be able to walk back and forth to the MK. We have stayed in both garden wings before and they are fine for us, but is it worth it to splurge on the tower? This might be our last trip as a family (DH is in the Navy) for awhile and he thinks we should "do it up". What a guy!!!

So, should we stay in the Tower? If so, what are the chances of getting a MK view? Do the tower rooms have balconies? And, does the CR do refillable mugs?

I would not stay at the CR again unless it was in the Tower and this sounds like a special trip! Have fun!

Thanks guys for the help. I did check out Deb's site and I think we are going to take the plunge. Anyone know when the CR is going under construction? I thought I saw a thread about that awhile ago.

I like the rooms that looked over Bay Lake better myself - they were bigger.

EWP was every night - bay lake.

the fireworks were not - seven seas lagoon (MK side)

kept in mind that although you get a great view of tomorrowland and a nice view of the castle - you also get a wonderful view of the parking lot.....

tell CR that you celebrating something and see if they can't give you a MK view - if you really want it.

That's funny because we are celebrating our 10th anniversary. Later in the week, my DH and I have a room at the BWI for ourselves while grandma watches the little one.
