CPAP machine

Good morning….any advice for bringing a CPAP machine on the Fantasy for August….carry on or checked? I see other people have mentioned filling out a form for medical equipment. Do we need to do anything else?

Carry on. This way no chance of getting lost or damaged.
My husband calls and requests distilled water. Probably on that form?

We always carry. We just did Fantasy last month with CPAP. We did not need an extension cord. Husband was able to plug in on the left side of bed (while facing bed). We filled out the special services form ahead of time and a gallon of distilled water was waiting in the cabin when we arrived.

Always carry it on. They didn't even open it when I went thru the scanning machine.

We always carry on the wife's machine. We have never filled out any forms when bringing it on and we just request a gallon of distilled water be in the room for her to use.

ALWAYS carry-on any necessary medical equipment and medications for any travel. Don't let those out of your possession unless you are ok with the risk of losing it. Bags go lost with airlines regularly; bags have been known to take a swim at the port.

Carry on the CPAP. Ask housekeeping for distilled water. It’s very easy.

Ask in advance and you won’t have to wait in line for distilled water request. It would be in room when you get there.

Carry on. I purchased a AirRes mini for travel. It is tiny, works great, and doesn't need water (it has a humidity cartridge and pulls moisture from the air). It was $$$ but well worth it. So much easier than lugging the large one on planes and ships.

I think this is the one my husband is looking at picking up - he travels about every other week for work and is tired of lugging his full-sized CPAP with him.

Same as everyone else’s response - carry on all legs of the journey. Filled out request for water in advance. only tricky part is if the outlet is on the opposite side of the bed you’re used to sleeping on. DH and I just switched sides, not a big deal for us bc we were so exhausted each night!

I have the preset pressure ones at home. The air mini with its auto settings and light weight is super. Now my previous Resmed travel size gets used at home. If you can afford it, he probably won’t regret it. I would like a smaller head gear, though. And body weight change doesn't require a reset.

On the older ships, electrical outlets can be across the room at the desk. That’s why so many of us bring on extension cords. Disney really needs to allow the cords or stock up on them. At least the Mini has a long cord and long tubing.

We just did the Magic and the outlet was across the room. My cord was long enough to reach but you can also request an extension cord from DCL for a $50 deposit. I always carry my CPAP on and request distilled water. They have a gallon waiting for me in the stateroom.

That is weird, we have been on the Magic twice and the Wonder once and both times, the outlet was on the shelf next to the bed under the lamp on the right-hand side if you are facing the bed. We didn't need the extension cord that we requested for any of our trips.

We were on the Wonder last year with the same verandah room category and the outlet was on the shelf next to the bed. I was very surprised that in this room I had to go across to the desk for an outlet. I guess this room wasn't updated? Anyway it worked and we had a beautiful cruise.
