We will be staying at CPGV in June. Is the Volcano pool at CP heated?

How many pools do they have at CP vs CPGV?

When I was there over a week ago, the volcano pool was not heated. As far as the number of pools I saw only the volcano pool on the CP side and 2 pools plus a kiddie pool on the CPGV's. The Grand Villas pools were heated.

When I was there last May, 2004, it was heated. So I am hoping it will be by this May! Have you called them and asked if the heater is going to be turned on? Or emailed them? Not sure you would get an answer, when we have stayed there some of the staff was a little clueless on some things, and we own some of the timeshare! Still really like this place, but sometimes the staff is totaly uninformed. On the other hand there is a ton of room, clean, and fairly quiet. Close to DTD, stores, and other stuff to do. And it is a lot cheaper then some of the other sites in Orlando we could stay at.

Gosh. I'll be there in June and I'm hoping it's not heated! Yikes! It's so hot and humid that time of year, I don't want to be jumping into a warm pool to "cool" off. Even here in Oklahoma and Arkansas we don't heat our outdoor pools in the summer. There's no need to. Do most places in Florida heat there outdoor pools in the summer? I wouldn't think they would.

The Volcano pool is heated in the cooler months. Unfortunately it is also a giant cooling tower so at least some of that heat gets removed again. During the cooler months the Turtle pool at CPGV is warmer but lacks the Volcano and the slides. Most kids prefer those while us older folks may opt for the warmer water. If it wasn't heated no one - not even the kids - would be in it.

All together there are three pools at CP/CPGV plus the kiddie pools and hot tubs. All are available to all guests at both resorts. Pool towels are provided in the units not pool side.
