Can anyone who has done the Candlelight processional dinner tell me if it was worth it. We are looking at LeCellier and I also have the DDE card so I am not sure if we should skip the package and take our chances on a seat or pay the extra. Also do you know what the dinner includes?

It depends on your dates to some extent. We had the package for our first night last year(12/16/04) with dinner at the Garden Grill. We were so impressed by CP that we tried going later during our stay just by waiting in line. We didn't get in that night. So we plan on doing the package twice this year- both Garden Grill and Biergarten. We will do LeCellier as a normal PS sometime so that we can use the DDE and have the option of sharing the meals so we can have soup and dessert. BTW, our trip this year is 12/17-12/24 so we know we have to do the package to get into the CP and it is worth it for us. However, LeCellier, Coral Reef, etc would not be cost effective for us as it doesn't fit our dining style.

We visited Petersborough in 2003 so I could race the half Ironman held in July- great race, didn't see much of the town though. Hope this helps although it probably doesn't.

Looking at your counter, it looks like you will be going in early December. You should be able to get a standby seat with no problem. Sometimes you can get better seats with standby than package (far to one side for package vs farther back and center for standby). We got the package the last 3 years but this year I think we will not because of the DDE, unless there is a really popular narrator that we want to see (last year we saw Jim Caviezel).

Thanks for the replies. We are going fairly early in the month so hopefully it won't be to busy.

This is what I've heard that happens: Basically, the narrator tells the Christmas story and the choir sings Christmas Carols, right?

Does anyone know before hand who the narrator will be?

This is located in Epcot?

What restaurants are on the packages?

How soon can I make a reservation?

Thanks and sorry for hijacking the thread!

We went from 8 December to 22 December 2003 - We were in Epcot 3 of the evenings of the Candlelight Processional. We got in every time without a ps meal package and had no problem at all. You will know in advance who the narrators are. They posted them in several spots. Our favorite night's narration was done by Steven Curtis Chapman. If you can, I would highly recommend you see him do it. (if you don't know - he is a very popular Christian singer.)
DD10 and DD12 at the time and dh and I all thought it was fantastic. We did not wait long in a standby line any of the times.
Highlight was actually meeting Steven C. Chapman following the performance (they 'sneak' the person who does the narration out during Illuminations - so if you would like to meet someone, this worked well for us!) We've been to Epcot so many times that we knew there was no better time - and sure enough, after about 1/2 of Illuminations - he strode up the walkway with a couple other men! Got great pics and autographs. Only 3 other families waited.
Have a wonderful time!
