Our schedule is flexible as the only thing we have planned it MVMCP on 12/12/02. We were looking at 12/13/02 or 12/14/02 as CP dates. I know we want to eat at Le Cellier after the 6:45 performance. Should I hold out and find out who the narrarrators are first or does the celebrity narrarrator make that much difference?

Thanks!

ps...if anyone knows if Illuminations still goes on and if Fantasmic is a given during that time of year that might help me make a good decision.

If you have a favorite celebrity who is preforming, then you might want to wait for the names, but otherwise, don't worry about it. I have been going for years and never had a bad narrator, though I would wait for Lois Gossett Jr. again. He was amazing!

Yes, they both still show and Illuminations is a special holiday one too.

I would make a reservation now, you can always change it up to 48 hours before the date if there is a narrator you like better. Just a warning, the narrators can change right up to a couple days before. I remember in 2000, they kept switching around. I don't think last year was as bad.

They no longer have the special Holidays Illuminations. Since 1999, they have the usual Reflections of Earth version.

I would go ahead and make your reservation. I called yesterday trying to book an 8:15 CP for a party of 2 with dinner at Le Cellier around 5:00 for Friday 12/13 - they said nothing was available; I would have to go to another CP show or change the day. I changed to 12/14 and got what I wanted. Le Cellier is a very popular choice - so it will probably book up fast. Also, if your only 2 choices are 12/13 or 12/14, they will probably have the same narrator. Last year Afre Woodard narrated from 12/12 to 12/17. She was good, but we were spoiled by Phylicia Rashad the previous year. Typically, they seem to narrate for 3 days, so if your flexibility extends into the week, you might have a choice of narrators. Yes, the announcer makes a difference, but by the time they make the announcement, it might be too late to get the restaurant you want. No matter who you get, it is a spectacular performance, and like the previous post said, sometimes they change at the last minute anyway. To answer your other questions, last year (between 12/9 and 12/16) Illuminations was shown at 9:30 and Fantasmic at 6:00. Have a great time!! Maybe we'll see you there.

and I would make my ressies now. This is our first and probably our only Christmas vacation to WDW. I'm just happy to see it. We got the day we wanted and the time and the restaurant of our choice; so, we won't cry at all about the narrator.

If you don't care about the restaurant or day then wait.

Any chance you could book both and then cancel one once the narrators are announced? More upfront money on the credit card, of course, but you will get the credit back.
