CP package question

Hi I was hoping someone could help me with this.

We will be using the regular dining plan and have a CP package booked, which I know is 2 credits each. However, a friend has asked to join us who will not be using the dining plan (she'll be paying OOP).

Will there be any problem at the meal with this? Also will they take the credits in advance of the meal? We've had this happen before with Hoop De Doo.

The CP dining package is not a pre-pay so you only have to give credit card info for the cancellation guarantee. You will be charged at the restaurant when you dine. Just let your server know who will be using dining plan credits and who will be paying OOP. Your table will receive 2 separate bills.

Hoop De Doo, the 2 other dinner shows and CRT are fully pre-paid meals. They didn't actually "take" the credits when you reserved Hoop, but it sounds like you used the dining plan to book the reservation, rather than pre-pay with a credit card.

You do need to make sure you have a reservation that indicates the correct number of people. Most restaurants are forgiving if you show up with the wrong number of people, but the reserves seating tickets are limited, and it you show up with too many people, I doubt you'll all get the package benefit.

They never take credits in advance of a meal - until you check in at the resort, you don't have any credits to take. It's just a question of when you are expected to pay for things. With a prepaid event on DDP they'll take the credits when you arrive or pick up your tickets if it's a dinner show, because you can't make payment until you actually get the credits.

CP packages are not prepaid so no matter how you pay, you won't be doing it until after the meal.
