Going next week and trying to decide for my parents and brother and sister in law who only have 2 nights (one of which we have MVMCP) which one we should see. My family is staying longer, so we can see all of them. If you could only choose one, which one would you choose and why? Also, does anyone know exactly when they are turning on the lights? Any chance of seeing both in one night? TIA

Are they religious Christians? If they are, the Candlelight Processional should mean alot to them.

The lights turn on at 6:00. You could see the 5:00 CP and get over to MGM after to see the lights. I believe I read the lights will be on until 8:30 (park closing is at 8:00, you have to enter before then).

I'd agree with seeing CP. A few Grinches might find Osborne Lights too much, but I don't see how anyone can not be moved by the CP. Also, Osborne Lights are on through the first couple days of January, giving them a better chance of seeing Osborne Lights another time. I know I got to see the Osborne Lights 3X before I was lucky enough to be able to schedule a trip at a time to see CP.

For us it would definitely be Candlelight Processional--it is beautiful, moving and really puts you in the Christmas spirit. While the Osborne Lights are overwhelming, we probably won't go back through them, as the time we went was SO crowded--we're glad we went to see them, but don't feel the need to see them again anytime soon.

Hard call. :(

Is there kids involved? If yes then Osborne Lights.

My call would probably be Osborne lights anyway.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights is just that, a spectacle. They are bold, they are bright, they are garish and they are gaudy. They're the kind of thing that you enjoy seeing but at the same time say "I'm sure glad none of my neighbors do this!"

The Candlelight Processional is the more dramatic and moving of the two holiday events. It definitely helps to get you into the meaning of Christmas with over 400 live voices raised in song to celebrate the season. And followed up by IllumiNations with the new holiday finale - it just can't be beat. So I'd recommend Epcot rather than the Studios.

I would have to say Candlelight Processional, that's just us though. The CP is just so inspiring to us. ::yes:: :wave2:
