If BOG continues breakfast into August, which restaurant would you prefer for an early morning entry?

Since they are currently giving early ADR Guests multiple rides on SDMT before the main gate line arrives,I would go with BOG since it is quicker to eat there and it is close to SDMT.:)

That's what I was thinking too. Hope BOG extends breakfast to August:goodvibes

Skip both be our guest and mine train...if I'm honest with you.

Ok... Use the fast pass on mine train...

We ate at both these spots for breakfast in April and honestly... For a small cost difference crystal palace is vastly better. Even if you aren't into pictures with life sized stuffed animals.

Hmmmm...Shoot. Now I'm not sure what to do. You didn't like the mine train ride?

To be fair...I've been on it about 4 times.

It's a nice little ride...but it is very much a small, minor ride...good themeing but that doesn't elevate it that much. It's not splash mountain.

It's just an ok thing if you're being completely honest.

The fact that it has a 2 hour wait is just a reflection of how heavy they have pumped "new fantasyland" since 2009 and perhaps a quiet subliminal desperation for anything new.

We loved BOG and its quick service for breakfast, right? SO its a big price difference to go to CP. We did BOG for lunch and Dinner last trip and can't wait to go back:)

I ate at BOG for breakfast last week, and I will never wat breakfast there again (at least with the current menu). My kids aren't super picky and none of them liked what they had. I liked mine okay, but none of the other adults in my party cared for their meals either.

CP breakfast is a must do for us every trip. We love it!

If early entry is your goal, and getting a head start on your day the main reason for the choices, and you are on the DDP, I would choose BOG. If you are looking for an early entry, and will not worry about rushing through the meal, go for CP.

We plan on dumping CP if BOG opens up on our dates because I could only get an 8:35 ADR for our group. It is August, and I know that we have to weight that early start against the late start on the attractions because it will be HOT and we will want to hit the road early afternoon.

Last night and this morning BOG shows as having a reservation time for breakfasts in Aug/Sept but I was unable to book - I don't know if the times are already filled up or if there's a bit of a glitch.

I think the message means the ADR's are not ready to be released, but that DIsney is getting that option ready. I keep trying on and off, becasue I bet their will not be a big announcement.

Given a choice between CP and BOG, I'd choose CP. It's one of my favorite restaurants. It's all-you-care-to-enjoy and a character meal, whereas BoG breakfast has a limited menu and no characters.

Thank you for all your responses! We are not on the DDP, and our main motivation is to have an early morning entry instead of doing rope drop. I have a fp+ for the mine ride for that evening. So we were going to start with Peter Pan (our first ride every visit). Right now we have an ADR for CP at 8:10, my only fear is that we wouldn't be out in time to get in front of the masses entering from rope drop. We do have BOG reservations for lunch and dinner for other days, so thought CP would be fun, but it is sounding like if BOG opens for breakfast, that might be smarter since its a quicker breakfast?

BOG is incredibly overpriced for breakfast...even for Disney food pricing. It "seems" like a good deal to some on the dining plan who are simply comparing prices. $20 for a mediocre breakfast sandwich is criminal.

CP is a much, much better breakfast with a much better selection.

Since our goal is for early entry, we decided on BOG. Of course, if the park hours change, we will most likely end up cancelling and will stick to Rope Drop. We'll enjoy CP on another morning when we can have time for a more leisurely experience.
