I have read all info I could on the Candlelight Processional, but I am wondering if a package is a necessity for Xmas Eve. We have a family of 5 and the packages are quite pricey.

I am thinking that I could do the CP at 5:00 and then Garden Grill, after but even that would be $110 or so. It just seems like it would be a wonderful experience for Xmas Eve. This will be the first year ever that I will be away from home for Christmas.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

I am not sure what to tell you on this one. We did the CP last year on Christmas day. We did the 8:15 show. There was still seating for some of those that didn't do the package; but they were in line for well at least an hour and a half before hand. We were in line for about 45 with the package. We were towards the front of our line with prime choice of seating.

So, it depends on how long you want to stand in line! I thought the price was worth it. We ate at the Biergarten last year and will doing it again this year. But that is just my own humble opinion. The closer to Christmas the longer the lines for the CP seemed to get!

It is truly a magical experience and I can't think of a better time than Christmas itself to see the show!

Good Luck with deciding. If eating at GG allow plenty of time to get there it is a hike from the Theatre over there!

It all depends on your personal preferences. We hate waiting in line, and we love CP and want to have decent seats. So for us, even though the package can get pricey for a family, it's worth it. We've never gone on Christmas Eve, but I would imagine the wait would be huge.

Whatever you decide to do, have a fantastic WDW Christmas!

I've done CP on christmas eve, including last year, the problems is this...even if you can wait in line and manage to get a seat at the CP concert, most of the restaurants will not take a PS or even a walk up at all if you don't have the package.Last year ,people without a package were turned away at many restaurants. It poured rain and I think people who were not planning on eating in Epcot did to get out of the weather...between that and the packages by 5:oopm you were out of luck.

You will probably need to spend a good long time waiting in line to maybe get a seat. We went on Christmas Eve last year and it was very crowded, even with all the rain. I think the last two shows were cancelled because of the rain.

Like Debbart says, it is impossible to get a seating because of the large number of people there.

If you really want to do in on Christmas Eve, get the package.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I did get the package today. We are doing the CP at 5:00 and then on to Garden Grill at 6:50.:hyper:
