CP - Friends with Pooh?

Hi guys -

I was wondering about those who are friends with Pooh. What would you say was the percentage of how often you were friends with Pooh and how often you were friends with others such as Suzy and Perla, Jessie, King Louie, Chip and Dale...etc?

As a performer, you are "friends" with many characters. You never stay with one over the program.

Right and I was wondering how often you are with each of them. Is it evenly distributed or is it more like 50% of the time you're friends with Pooh, 40% with Chip/Dale and 10% with Suzy/Perla?

As far as I know, your assignments will be on a rolling basis; there is no set percentage as to your performances. Ultimately speaking, your assignments will be based upon entertainment's needs on a day-to-day basis, and it is entirely possible that you may see a character like Pooh many times, and its also possible that you may seldom see him at all.

You will be performing under many different hats & acts; so don't get too attached to the idea of performing anything in particular, other than bringing to life the cast of Disney characters.

I have a teacher that was friends with Indiana Jones, but he didn't mention being friends with anybody else so I was just wondering how that works.

Yes, you can be friends with both Pooh as well as Cinderella (just using these for an example).

It's also a matter of your performance ability. Sometimes you'll be given character who you can perform particularly well. My friend Lauren is particularly good friends with Jessie, because that character requires a good deal of over acting and gesture ability, where as a character like pooh doesn't require that much movement. It's a variety of factors but it comes down to where they need you most on a given day. I'm also not sure about how it works in Florida, but here at Anaheim, you have to be signed off on a particular character to be assigned them, including a variety of factors. I know that autographs is one of them. But I don't know how that translates to Florida.

Indiana Jones is actually a stunt job, not someone else who also does fur, as far as I know. But characters like Cinderella, Belle, Jack Sparrow, etc, can also be friends with fur characters.

Nope, you are correct. Indiana Jones is an Equity role, not technically a meet and greet character (though you can get pictures with him).

Hi! Current character performer here, though not Pooh height.

For how much you'll be characters- Well there are a few things that can happen. At first, you'll definitely be filling in where they need you. We get shuffled around a lot. Eventually, though, you might get put as one character in one location like, all the time. The Full Timers get bids, so they're in certain locations all the time when they work, and the CPs kind of take the empty bid lines. I guess we can also be put places if we're particularly good at certain characters, though I have no idea about that. You can talk to scheduling liaisons and they can try to put you as a certain character more often, too.

Justy is also right - you have to pass your training to be okay'd for your characters, and you can still get disapproved in things. One of my friends is disapproved in skinny boy characters like Max because she has a very girly figure. They're strict about autographs during training, but as long as you know it in general when you're out there you should be okay, as far as I know.

And if you're a princess or whatever, in WDW, you will also be doing Fur. All Face do Fur here, though that's not the case in Disneyland.
