We're going to DIsney for first time with DS(3) DD(1) and DGP(60+). My mom is tickled pink about the idea of a character meal--she says its only yesterday I was a 3 year old dancing with Pooh!

Given that Pooh is also my children's favorite, we definately want to go to CP. If we did breakfast we'd probably go at 10:30 (last seating) so we could get some rides before the park got too crowded (its an EE day). Alternatively if we did lunch, we'd probably try for 11:30 or 12 to get it in before nap time.

Does anyone out there have any preferences between breakfast and lunch? Is the food or character interaction better at one or the other? My husband is a big fan of breakfast (omlets, pancakes, you name it...) and is pushing that option, but I'm afraid we're giving up a prime time hour of touring to eat.

Thanks in advance for any advice!:Pinkbounc

I've not had the lunch but the breakfast is great, plenty of selections and my son had one of the omelets and said it was very good. The Character interaction was wonderful, and our table was mostly adults.
We had a 10:00 seating on an ee day. We got quite a few attractions in, and this was during the summer, and then went over for our breakfast.
I'm going again in December and the breakfast is a must do for us.

I would have to agree with the late breakfast. If you are going to EE you are going to be hungry by 10:00 or 10:30. This is what we usually do and it works great - because - you already have 2 hours of rides with the least amount of people under your belt and 10:00 - 10:30 is when it begins to get crowded and you begin to get hungry.

Also, they have Pooh, Piglet and Tigger waffles at breakfast which is a real hoot for WTP fans. The breakfast is DELICIOUS and character interaction is great.

One piece of advice - get a Fast Pass (or 2 if you time it correctly) BEFORE you go to breakfast - then when you are finished eating you can go straight to the next ride!

ENJOY!:D

We've done both breakfast and lunch at CP and both are really tasty. I was pleasantly surprised about the lunch offerings last time we went because I had read a menu saying that it was mainly sandwich stuff but they had a full buffet and it was all quite good. The great thing that happened at that lunch, however, was that my DS got to be Chef of the Day! We had an 11:00 seating and as we walked in, a CM said,"Congratulations, you are Chef of the Day!" He got a lot of special character interaction and got to decorate a cookie with all of the characters and then they gave him a chef's hat which all of them signed. It was really cool! We asked how this happened and apparently they randomly choose one child per day - I don't know if it is always at lunch but it may be worth a shot to do that early lunch PS! BTW, we were there on an EE morning and had done most everything we wanted to by lunch! HTH!

We love CP for lunch. It is nice to have a buffet option for lunch.
