Hi Nicole,
Thank you for expressing interest in the Disney Theme Parks & Resorts College Program at the Walt Disney World® Resort!

We are very excited to announce that our online application for the 2006 Fall, Fall Advantage, and Fall Quarter School Program Sessions is now available on our Web site!

We know that you are very excited to begin the application process, but we have a few key points for you to review prior to doing so.

Presentation Schedule
We are currently in the process of completing our visitation schedule for Spring 2006 on-campus presentations. As the dates, times, and locations of these presentations are finalized, they will be updated on the Web site immediately. You may check the Web site for the presentation schedule beginning January 20, 2006.

E-Presentation
If you would like to get a jump start on your application and interview, you may view our E-Presentation and schedule a telephone interview beginning January 20.

Please remember to indicate "E-Presentation" on your application when you are asked which presentation you are planning to attend.

Program Requirements
The Disney College Program is open to students who are enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in a college or university in the United States. Students must be in good academic standing with at least a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0. Participation in this program also requires unrestricted work authorization in the United States.

If you are an international student not enrolled in a college or university in the United States, you may be eligible to apply and interview for one of the Walt Disney World International Programs. Information on these programs is available within the "International" section of wdwcareers[dot]com.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yay, I cannot wait! I might even decide to just do the e-presentation, because I can't wait! I went to a presentation for spring06, so I've seen the whole slideshow and such. But if the presentations near me are close enough, I might do one of them. :D

yay i got mine too! how exciting! i think im gonna go to the presentation since i have not been b4. now is the interview just over the fone or can u do it there? who cares can't wait!

:teeth: Got mine too!! Anyone know if that presentation schedule is complete? Do they usually have presentations in every state because right now there's nothing listed for NJ.

I think they're not all posted yet because a lot of the ones that were posted were culinary. I'm from NJ too, BTW. I go to Montclair, and they usually host a presentation. So here's hoping.

I got mine as well. I already filled out the app and I'm rdy for the presentation. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

I attended a presentation just for the heck of it my freshman year, and have been debating ever since. But right now I really really want to do it. If I do go through with it, I'd probably do it in the Fall of '07- I could do it earlier, but I really don't want to fall behind in my program. I figure Fall of 2007 would be good, because then I'd be done with all my classes and would just have student teaching left, and I also wouldn't graduate midyear. I guess I will see though! It'd definitely be a lot of fun!

Yes, they are definitely adding more schools. They said to look for the presentation schedule on the 20th, so I think this is just a preliminary one and they are adding more as they come. I know for my state, NJ, they had presentations at Rutgers (where I go), TCNJ, Montclair, Rowan, William Paterson, and more that I can't remember. So don't worry if you don't see a school near you up yet!

The application is online now and you bring your completed application and role checklist with you to the presentation. (Just a note, make sure your application is really complete before saving it. I thought it saved and then let you work on it later, but apparently it doesn't- so make sure it's correct before you hit submit!) At the end of the presentation, they will call you up one at a time to schedule an interview time. From what I know, most interviews are now held over the phone. You sign up for a specific time and you are given a sheet with your recruiter information, the name of your interviewer, time of your interview, and such. At the scheduled time, you will receive a phone call from your interviewer. Make sure to give a home/dorm line if possible instead of a cell phone so there is less of a chance of the phone call being dropped (suggestion by Disney).

My interview for spring lasted about 25 minutes and it was actually not as stressful as I thought it would be. The interviewer was very sweet and she tried to make me as calm as possible. I am kind of obsessive about Disney and I wound up looking through several forums/lj communities to see the kind of questions that people were asked and I wrote up a 4 page question and answer guide to myself before the interview, which actually helped me a lot I feel. I read over it a few times and I had it with me during the interview, though I didn't really look at it. If you have some free time to make something like that up, I would definitely suggest it. Make sure to take time to think and answer the question- they do not rush you. I know in a couple of instances I took a pause to really reflect on what I wanted to say. I think the most important thing is to just really exude your enthusiasm for Disney and your desire to work for the company. :D Good luck everyone!

OT, but LadyDulcinea1 where do you go to school? Is it in NJ?

I actually go to school in PA, but I live in NJ so it would be easier for me to get to schools there (my mother wants to be around when I go.... ;) )

That wouldn't be known until you get accepted and accept on the website. There are several different starting dates for both Fall and Fall Advantage.

Yeah, when I was accepted for spring, I was given like 3 or 4 arrival/departure date sets. It's not just one date that everyone goes on. The dates seem to be throughout August for arrivals and to the beginning of January for departures going from what I've seen from past years (in forums). :D I'd like to go as early as possible!

I'm so sad. No NJ school dates are up. :(

I know! Hurry up NJ schools (especially Montclair :teeth: )! I want to know when to go so badly. Also, I don't want the presentations to be too late, because 1) I have to base it on the audition dates and 2) I don't want to apply TOO late.

If you didn't see your school listed, don't give up just yet. I checked early today and saw my school was listed for one meeting. Tonight we've been given two additional meetings! I can't quite imagine why we need three total, but it sure looks like they will be agressively recruiting this time around. Now if I can only wait one more month. :hyper: Best wishes everyone!

Sorcerer Figment, where did you get that CP picture in your signiture? I really like it a lot.

I know what you mean. When I did the spring presentation/interview, it was in the beginning of November, which I felt was way too close to the January start time! It seems like from past presentation schedules though that my school (Rutgers) is usually near the end of the recruiting season and I would rather apply sooner. From what I have seen, my friend's school, TCNJ, is usually at the beginning of the season, so I am thinking about just going to the presentation at her school if Rutgers' is too late- or maybe doing an e-presentation. But I think I would rather go to a presentation in person.

Right now the schedule and application are both not working for me. Hopefully when they come back up, there will be NJ schools listed! :D
