hi

my sister will be arriving for cp in late august. we are planning a trip to visit her in december. what type of room discount will she get. how does her discount work for booking rooms and can you explain how the passes work?

The room discount depends, there are two types family and friends, and self. Family and friends is a smaller discount and allows others to pay. Self involves her staying in the room and means she has to pay. The discount and location depends on the time of year. She goes through a special access via her Hub login.

If you book the room for them and check them in, then they can take advantage of your discount. It can be up to 50% off depending on the time of year. I believe CPs also get the holiday coupon book as well which will give you additional discounts on dining and other things.

She can book for family and friends and get the higher discount, it does not necessarily means she has to pay. The discount can be anywhere from 50-60% off. She will get a maingate pass which allows her to let in 3 people, six different times. So if you come to visit, she will be able to let you in a maximum of six times. If she only uses two of the passes for one day, the third one will not roll over and will simply be gone. Also, be weary of black-out dates in the month of December (especially during christmas/new years.)
