CP Dinner Package Timing??

This is the first year we will have went to Epcot and I'm trying to plan the CP and Illuminations. I've decided that I'd like to do the dinner package, but have a question about how to best time it all!!

We want to hit the 2nd or 3rd CP and see Illuminations. What time should I shoot for dinner? If you go to the 3rd CP, are you out in time to see Illuminations?
