Or at least has anyone been unable to get reservations at a resturaunt they want? I'm going to WDW Dec. 6-12,but I can't decide what night to do the CP or what resturaunt to eat at (probably either Marrakesh or Rose and Crown). But after hearing so many people on these boards already making reservations, I'm afraid my indecisiveness is going to cost me. So I want to hear from some people who've been able to get reservations at the last minute. I really can't decide, but I'm so afraid that by waiting I'll lose out.

I made a reservation for that time period fairly late last year. The only reason I made mine today was that I wanted Christmas Eve.

For what it's worth---

We went last year during the second week of December and when we went to pick up our CP passes, there were two women in front of us making reservations for the next night for parties of six with no problem.

Good luck!

One thing has occurred to me--With no Osborne Lights this year,
the Candlelight Processional is going to be more popular, & there could be a better chance of the Dinner Package selling out this year.........???

KathleenFL, that's an excellent thought! If I book something now, then change my mind to a different night and/or different resturaunt, can I try to change (depending on availability, of course) or am I locked into my night and resturaunt once I book? Think I'd better make some decision pretty fast here thinking of what you said!

I don't know if they ever sell out, but there could be very few tables left at your favorite resturant. A few years ago, I think 4 yrs, I made mine reservatoins early ( first day) but could not get the restaurant (Le Cellier) for the time I wanted or to sit a party of 6 together or a part. We wound up with Rose & Crown w/ a party of 4 and a party of two at 8:30 PM reservations, but when seated, got an outside table for 6. (Loved it)

Now that WDW has changed the PS time frame, I wonder if this will effect what available in the next few days? As more people find out that CP is available there might be a lot of calls this week.

We haven't been to CP since then until this year. I made our reservations on Monday right after they opened them up for CP around 1 PM. I got exactly what we wanted. We are only a party of 2 this year which made it easier. I was the first reservation the CM had made for CP being new to her job and a little talkative, she was filling me in as she completed my reservation. The other CM's maning the phones at Dinning didn't know the CP had become available at 1 PM that day, she told me. I asked her a few questions, like, if I could pick up my tickets at the resort. I'm still not totally sure what she meant by up to 7 days prior to reservation at the resort and day of at Epcot front entry. Does that mean, if I don't pick them up prior to the day of my PS, I have to go to Epcot's front entry to get them?
She was being very careful and reading directions the whole time. I should have asked for clarification but was to happy just getting my PS to think of that. Does anyone know? Can I still pick them up at the resort the day of my PS?

Thanks

Sandy

It seems they have added a lot of new CM's at Disney Dining. I was the first reservation my CM made for the Candlelight too. She was very sweet and had to put me on hold three times to make sure she was doing it right. I also got 2 conf. #'s. We are going December 4th at the 6:45 show and dinner at LeCellier at 8:20. Yum Yum I can't wait!!!

Oh- KathleenFL, Good point about their being no Osbourne Lights this year. I wonder if that will affect MVMCP too?

You can always change/cancel up to 48 hours before. I would get something reserved now and try to change it later. Weeknights early in the month shouldn't be a problem getting last minute but weekends can be more crowded with locals. I booked my first choice date/time but if there's a narrator we want to see when the list comes out I may try to change it.

Simba's Mom,

Also, with so many people interested in the Rose & Crown, for watching Illuminations, probably booking sooner is better than later, if that's the restaurant you decide on.....The only drawback with booking now is that they charge your credit card right away.......

With so many new CMs at Disney Dining, I'm going to check back to make sure my reservation went thru..I only got 1 confimation #
(I need to cancel the "just-in-case" reservation I made at the 120-day window for R&C anyway.....)
