I posted this on The Theme Park Thread but thought I might get more help here....
I just found out my DD17 will be singing with her HS Choir at the CP on 12/28
We knew they were going to try to do that this year as they go to Disney every 4 years but we had no idea it would be during the busiest time of the year.
We made our DVC reservations so we can see her sing(I am prepared to cry my eyes out) as I love this presentation and adding to it, it is her senior year and she is my oldest.
I want to book the dinner package since it is such a busy time and we want to make sure we get in. The only problem is we will not know which 2 of the 3 shows she will be singing at. I really want to see both performances. We were told it may be short notice on which shows they perform at.
-Should I book 1 package and pick a show time and hope it is one she will sing at?
-Will they let me book 2 performances and I can use one of the meals for lunch and one for dinner? I am willing to splurge to see her as this is a once in a lifetime experience for her.
-If I only book one and want to go standby for the other I am guessing there is a risk I will not get in which really isn't an option.
Any suggestions from people that have gone to the CP during this week would be greatly appreciated as we have only gone in early December.
TIA for any help you can give!!!

That's a tough one! In previous years there were 3 candlelight performances every day. You eat before the show. So there is 1 lunch dining time and 2 dinner times. I personally would go ahead and book at least 2. I don't know what your budget is. There is usually 3 pricing tiers. So you could try to go for the lower priced restaurants (Biergarten and Garden Grill were the two least expensive last year).

In the past they required a credit card to guarantee the res, and you had to cancel (I think) 3 days prior to avoid penaly.

I hope short notice does not mean a few hours!
