CP Culinary Program

I like to say hello to everyone. My name is Scott and I am from North Carolina. I graduate from culinary school in May and I am heading down for the culinary program in august. My start date is Aug 20. Anyone else heading down that day or in the culinary program for the fall?

Hi Scott I'm in Andri in Virginia and want to do the culinary. I am graduating in February and hoping to get down there in the spring. How hard was the process and what do they look for in the culinary program. I really really want to do the Disney thing.

The hardest part was the waiting. This is something I have wanted for a long time and every day was brutal waiting for another email. I filled out the application and heard back within a couple of days that they had reviewed my information and would get back to me to schedule my phone interview. This differed from the regular college program in that there is no character survey questionaire and they review your application before allowing you to setup a phone interview. I setup my phone interview just as quick as I could. The phone interview was about 30 minutes. Lots of sanitation and safety questions and then questions about in season vegetables and mystery baskets. I was fortunate in that I heard back from my phone interview with my acceptance in 6 days. I have heard of people having a second phone interview and it taking 3-5 weeks to here something back. Make sure you know your servsafe because if you miss some or any you will fail the interview. I have no Idea where. I wish I did but from what I have been told I wont find out until I get down there. Right now I am just scheduled from Aug 20 - Nov 16. I am hoping to get an extension until Jan and Hopefully get into the Culinary PI. Is this your first Trip down?

That is the day I get down there as well. Where are you guys in Culinary School at? Anyone have facebook? I am looking forward to getting down there but would like to know a couple people before hand.

Hey is anyone having trouble choosing a roommate on the onboard site, everyone else has access to the roommate portion but it doesn't show up on my site. Did i miss a step? Do i have to wait? Any suggestions?

Nothing wrong with the community college route. I did the same. Couldn't justify paying the money for a private school when I got the same education for a smaller price tag. Just put a /sdprice10392 on the end of the facebook url. It wont let me post a link yet or I would.

Hi Lindsay my name is nikk, i was wondering if maybe you could shed some light on something for me. I just got accepted for culinary, i arrive August 20 to November 16. My girlfriend is going as well in the fall and she was able to find roommates and stuff but i don't see any options on my onboard site for anything that has to do with roommates. Is that the same for you? Is the Culinary process completely different from the regular CP?? Thanks

The culinary is completely different from what I have seen. I have a friend that is going down and is in the regular cp program. She has been able to use the roommate matching stuff but from what I understand that option is not available to culinary. I could be wrong but that is the information that I was given. I wish it was different because I sure would like to know my roommates before I move in that day.
