CP Beds...

So...what's the deal with the bed comfort?

On a scale of one to ten...1 being like a rock, and 10 being like sleeping on Heaven's clouds, how comfortable are the beds?

Do I need to bring my down layers? (affectionately known as my down "puff"?)

I would say about a 4-5 depends on how you like your bed. I ended up getting a matress pad but could have done with out it. We like to joke and say they are kinda like the bed at Everest in the cue line.

I would give them a 3... I am buying a memory foam bed-topper for my bed. On my last CP, I woke up every morning with a sore back...

A 3. I like my bed to be comfy and by comfy I mean very soft lol. The beds didn't have much spring and were kind of hard. I mean, they are sleepable and I made it the entire program without buying any sort of mattress pad, but don't expect them to be too comfy lol. I never slept anyway (thanks to EMH at the MK lol). I wouldn't bring down any mattress pad - go down there and if you find you can't deal with the stiffness, have someone from home send it down to you or just buy a new one. Like I said, I managed just fine and I LOVE comfort.

If you like a firm bed, you'll be fine. However, my bed at home is PERFECT and feels like I'm on marshmallows it's so soft. I found a good mattress pad at Target and it made the bed much more comfortable. You'll be so exhausted at the end of each day, you can pass out on the floor and still get a full night's rest. I'd just wait till you get down there to look.

Definitely a 1 or 2. I stayed in Chatham and the beds were hard as a rock! Be sure to pick up egg shells or a think mattress pad.

I used one of those memory foam covers. My first bed was great with it. Would have been like an 8 with it on there. Slept great with it. But the second bed, not so much. Horrible even. The springs in it jammed into my side at times and they squeeked something awful even if you only moved the slightest bit. And that was with the memory foam.

I had forgotten how noisy they are! (I don't know how I forgot hahah). Aside from how stiff they are, the most annoying part is probably the amount of noise they make - some of them, at least lol.

OMG the noise those beds make is horrible!
Even the slightest movement is so annoying- and on my last CP, i got stuck with a roommate who tossed and turned all night

My roommate did the same! But I always felt bad because working attractions at the MK, I always came back to the apartment at crazy hours of the night/morning (i.e. 4 or 5am) and I always hated getting into bed because whenever I pressed down on it, it sounded like I was tearing the thing apart! lol

I had to get a mattress pad and a foam topper. Only then was the bed sleepable, lol! It was exactly like a dorm bed.
