I'm on the Dream which leaves tomorrow. Our itinerary was changed to go to Cozumel. I'm assuming that excursions will be able to be booked on the boat.

Was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions for things to do or excursions suggestions?

We really enjoyed the ruins tour and beach break at Playa Mia. We did this a couple of times when we were there.

Here is the link to the Playa Mia resort and water park.

I can tell you what NOT to do. The ruins/Mexico City/chocolate tour. Those ruins were really small. Mexico City was boring, and the chocolate place just looking at plants. Choose some of the larger ruins if you want that experience.

We did the Tulum Ruins 1.5 years ago. My hubby loved it. It was a pretty long day with the ferry ride, bus ride and then the Ruins themselves cover a large area. It was very educational and pretty cool "history-wise". But little kids may not be able to hold their interest that long. I'm glad that we did it thought, it was pretty cool to see how advanced the Mayans were

We usually go to Paradise Beach when we are in Cozumel and enjoy it very much.

Be careful when you're looking - a lot of the Cozumel excursions involve a *lot* of travel. A 5 hour excursion can easily have 2.5 hours spent in travel... They note how long it takes to get places in the description, so pay attention.

We actually did the Cozumel Amazing Race (directly through the vendor at amazingcozumelrace dot comm). It was HANDS-DOWN the highlight of our cruise as it was so much fun and let us really enjoy the city for the several hours we were there. It was really worth it if you are willing to consider some non DCL options. They run it everyday except Sundays...

We did this also and had a great time.

I second the recommendation of doing the beach break since you will not be stopping at CC. I thoroughly enjoyed the beach break excursion a couple of weeks ago.

The only reason they would have long travel is if the excursion is to the mainland, Playa Del Carmen, via ferry. The island is extremely small in driving. It takes about an hour to drive around the island. I suggest to those of you that have been affected by the weather is to grab a taxi at the port and go to Mr Sanchos, Paradise Beach or Playa Mia.

Another fabulous way to actually see the island's beauty is to hire a taxi to drive you around the island. They are great stopping at many of the prime spots such as Puna Sur, the lighthouse, Chen Rio, Coconuts and a few others. Coconuts is a bar that sits on the highest point on Cozumel and allows spectacular views. The East side (commonly known as the "Wild Side") is unbelievably beautiful. They will also stop at a Tequila Factory if you want. Once around, you will be close to shopping to finish off your day. All that can take only 3 or so hours. Good shopping is at Los Cinco Soles and inside of it is a yummy restaurant called Pancho's Backyard.

Cozumel is my home away from home.
